Hi I just got my crocs for my vacation to the World in 20 days :cool1: and they are rubbing on my foot and it hurts other than that I love them. What have others done for this problem? Do I need to wear sox with them? Nancy

Depends where they are rubbing off course, but...you might try wearing them with socks just to break them in (I wear mine with socks all the time as I like the extra cushioning.) But doing that helped with a pair I thought "might" be uncomfortable.

Hope this helps!

Have you walked with crocs on for hours at a time? They don't have any arch support. I bought a pair because people were saying they were awesome; however, after wearing them on concrete for 4 hours, my feet were killing me. I realized they didn't have the support your foot required for healthy walking.
I hope they don't hurt your feet after hours on end like they did mine! I had to go to a different brand of shoe instead, and I know I'll be much happier at the days end.

It may also depend on the type of Crocs you have. My Beach, Aspens, and Athens are great, however I have two pair of Niles that give me blisters anytime I wear them all day.

if you need arch support, go Birkenstocks...they will NOT fail you. I got a new pair yesterday, opened the box, put them on and proceeded to walk all over manhattan...6 hours in total, not a blister or an ache to speak of...OUT OF THE BOX!!!

they are worth it!

I think everyone is different. I got a pair on vacation and they were wonderful for a while. I have high arches, and had no problems. But after wearing them for about 5 days straight at the beach and then 2 at Disney, I did get 2 blisters on the side of one foot from where the heel strap is connected.

The blisters were in an area of thick skin and never opened. I covered them with moleskin and was fine for the rest of the trip wearing my New Balance sneakers. And I wore my crocs with socks one night!

I got the beach Crocs and the spot that is almost a blister is right where the heel strap connects too. I wore them grocery shopping and a short walk with me ds and around the year all day. I'll try moleskin or band aids for the next few weeks before we leave. Thanks for all your advice. Nancy

eh- try socks, OR depending on where the area is rubbing, put a band-aid across where the blister is forming from the rubbing- my little sister is so sensitive to certain materials on her feet that my mom carries little band-aids with us in her fanny pack- (after water rides, you may want to switch the band-aid, if it loses it's stick) try it out- good luck- and happy walking!!

My DS has a pair of navy beach crocs that have started doing the exact same thing in the exact place you describe. He has a new pair and they don't do this...YET....the navy ones didn't do it for the first 6 months or so.
