Ok it has been rainy here and chilly too boot and yesterday when we came home my across the street neighbor was removing the frame of one of his windows near his side entrance to his home... he is always doing something new to his home and yard so I just figured it was more of the same

DH went over to chat and found out that what he was doing was making a "garage" entrance to his living room- see he has been working on a Vintage mustang for the past few years- and today the car was coming home from the painters...

He doesn't have a garage and doesn't want the weather to get to it- so he decided to park the car in his house... lol

This is too funny- he now has a large hole in side of his house and is pushing the mustang in- If you could see the house- it is a "show place" with lots of antiques and nice furniture and now has a mustang in it too lol

too funny

While I've heard of people doing this before, I've never actually seen it. We need pics!!!

Pictures Please!!!

I hope your neighbor is smart enough to know NOT to turn the car on in the house!!! He could kill himself if he is not careful.

I had to come back and add: This guy HAS to be single right??? I can't imagine any woman allowing a car in the living room!

Pictures! Pictures!

I might - it IS a vintage Mustang after all!!! :rotfl:

It sounds like his collection may be complete with the Mustang.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He must live by himself. I don't think there is a sane woman that would allow a car inside the house. :drive:

He couldn't have just paid the garage to keep it for an extra day or two inside?

That would never, ever happen in this househole. No. Way. Jose!

I shamlessly have to admit I wanna see pictures too- I just cannot picture this one.

One of my former co-workers did this with one of his cars. I think the neighbors were probbaly happy that it was finally off of his front lawn. :rotfl:

Ok- this guy is married- of course his wife is away for a few more weeks and has no idea that he made an 8 foot hole in the side of his house...

Not only did he take out a doorway and a window but beneath the window was a portion of a fireplace that he took a sledge hammer too- it is (was) an extended hearth sort of like a shelf of bricks.

It was quite funny watching he and his partners in crime my dh and a former neighbor push this thing in the house and be more worried about the paint job on the car than on the antiques inside lol-

It is a 1964 Mustang- and he bought it (and another for parts) for his daughter when she was a Sophomore in highschool- she is now in her second year of college lol- but drives mom's old but newer mustang while there...

The reason he is putting it inside the house was that the new headliner was installed but he doesn't have side windows yet... He seemed to think me just plain silly at the suggestion of covering it with a tent or tarp or something like that.

Now you asked for pictures...

This is them pushing the Car inside the house

Ok here they had to stop and move an antique armoir so that the car would clear the fireplace

Here is a picture from inside- note the sofa to the left and corner of the armoir to the right- he didn't move anything out ahead of time

I told him that I would make a disc of all the photos we took- there are a few more that show the wife how close some of her things came to distruction lol-

My kids thought it was just silly but knowing this neighbor it really didn't surprise them much...

My dh decided that this would have to be a new "You might be a redneck... if you have a '64 Mustang parked in your living room"

And I'm now involved because I told the neighbor he needed a carriage door since that is what the hole looks like now- and so he is going to tell his wife he is going to install a carriage door on the phone- but not tell her that there is a car in there.

Oh
My
God.

I need to know where you live and what day the wife is coming home, because I have GOT to be there when she sees this. :lmao:
