I have been going on the National site every day booking & cancelling as I get the cheaper price..I have it down to 121.23 with all taxes included! I started with 185. and change..this is so great and I go to the emerald aisle to pick out my car..no counter..keep checking this is with the priceless vacation code,6600330,ent book code with 20. off and the web codeEWEB..MARIANNE  :teeth: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbouncmy dates are 5/3-5/10

I can't seem to get it down past $157 for EA. Will keep trying.

Marianne,
What car class was this quote for? We are going 9/9 to 5/15 and I have gotten my full size down to $135. I also used the priceless code and a national reward coupon.

What is the "priceless" code, & "EWEB" from where? Can anyone use? Do you need something?

Thanks, MKY princess:

I got mine reduced by $34.00. We're not going until late August so hopefully they will continue dropping!

eweb is a product contract id from National

just used it for our weekend adventure in June

price dropped from 85 to 57 using eweb, and entertainment one free weekend day coupon code

using emerald club too

"eweb" offers are on the opening page of national's web site under weekend deals starting at 24$

do not think it makes much difference on a weekly rental

have tried may 3 to may 10 both with and without the "eweb" and the price comes back the same

WOW! I am new to this whole car rental thing. I reserved a full-size car through National today for 5/8-5/19 for $261.78. Can you explain to a complete newbie how to cut that down even further?

Beth

We booked an intermediate car last week using the ent. book coupon $20 off. We were quoted 149.59 so we booked. I just went on tonite and punched in the same codes and it went down to $131.61. Saved us $18. May not seem like a lot of $, but it will help keep my budget down. My DH was very happy and I can only hope that the rates keep dropping! We will be there soon, only 27 more days!!! Yeah! :cool1:

sumpin aint workin

Went to National's site, down in the lower rignt corner is the space to put in the code id 6600330 as stated above, then the lowest right corner space to put in EWEB and it says illegal rate code.

(After it said "enter a location" even though I had already put in MCO for Orlando airport and it wiped out my dates forcing me to start over.)

Removed the EWEB and got a whopping $261.00 for ten days and that was for a subcompact and that does not include the taxes.

I did use different dates, August 21 - 30.

Using NATIONALCAR.COM is there a different home page I should have used?

EWEB and WWEB are only good until June 15 so far......... I also want to book my Aug rental, but it is too soon.

wweb is a product rate code

the priceless 7 digit code is a contract id #

coupon id usually start with 1000xxxx

Bunnymkc, where do I find a "book" code? Without it, the lowest I can go is $142.53..... (going May 5-11th)

she is talking about the coupons that come in the Entertainment books....

seems to me i have heard they are selling them for 10$ plus shipping now

try

www.entertainment.com

the coupon is the 20$ off a weekly rental

well, thats what I thought after reading and doing some more searching, in which case since I dont own the book, it doesnt make much sense to pay for a book, have it shipped- to basically save $5 ( i saw that its $15 with shipping) not even worth it to save $10, I guess I am thrilled with the $142. price, I wasnt even planning on renting a car as of this morning.

I cancelled my sedan ressie and switched over to National- how great that I can just walk out and pick a car in the lot- Im hoping on a Wed morning the choices are good. I dont need anything big or long, like an Intrepid, Id actually rather have a compact type car- not sure how small National's cars go- but Im not trying to hyjack a thread here.

i am so thankful to the original poster, as I now basically have the same rate she does- I just had to sign up for Emerald Club (for free through Mousesavers I found)

Its amazing how much you can save if you are willing to put the time in to reading and researching!!

eyore

you will get an intermediate with Emerald Aisle now according to national's website

but get to choose from any intermediate that is there
