Sorry but desperate to tell people who won't go 'Humph. All right for some! Lucky sod!'. Just confirmed my online booking for 4 nights at the Sequoia Lodge, Montana Room with a Lake View for 22-26 Dec 2008!!!!!!

So TootieBear765, TartanTigger and our DD (3) will be at the magic for Christmas! (Don't think the grandparents will be too happy though lol!)

Finally succumbed to our urges despite also planning our 10th anniversary inaugural trip to WDW too (ouch... beans on toast for us for a year lol!)...

So anyway, just wanted to share my excitement (and hope a few of you catch the bug too.... DLP with DISers at Christmas has to be great!).

Also for anyone who has been lucky enough to partake in the past, would you recommend the Festive Character meals on Christmas Eve/day/both(!)? Want to make it one to remember! Also does anyone know when the Prince/Princesses meals usually run as I'd love to take my DD along to one but preferably on the 22/23rd...

Now here's hoping its cold and snowy to make the parks nice and quiet... coming from Scotland, it won't bother us and will just make us feel at home (but with great perks lol!)

Ooooooh a white christmas at DLP, wouldn't that be great? Although when was the last time we had a white christmas?

I'm afraid I can't help with regards to meals, but just wanted to tell you I am soooooooo jealous  . We were planning the end of January, but have been on the phone to oh this morning to find out when his holidays at christmas are, to see if we can move our trip forward to the 4th and get 3 days christmas festivities so here's hoping it's good news when he gets home.

I'm sure you're going to have a blast there at christmas!!

Humph. All right for some! Lucky sod!

He he!! Only kidding!!! Sounds awesome!!

I think the Princess meals are everyday..... I've not heard of the Auberge being shut any days really.......

Have a fabulous time!

Awww, how exciting!! I really want to stay at DLP over Christmas..maybe next year lol!

I've got my fingers crossed for good news, cookie!!!!!

Thanks Bob, it's all a bit woolly in the brochure although I don't think you can have them on 24th/31st Dec, but does this mean you could do the meal on the 25th...?!? Now that would be cool... lunch with the Princesses and Christmas dinner with the Characters... I think my daughter would pass out with excitement lol! Going to phone tonight and see what they say and book it over the telephone...

Awe mermaid..... I'm sure you'll do Christmas soon... although am I reading your profile right? Have you really been 4 times in the one year? Man, now I'm the one who's jealous!!!!! What were those words again?

'Humph. All right for some! Lucky sod!' lol!!!! Just kidding! Glad its not just me!

I don't think you'll be able to book that far in advance..... I've never prebooked so I don't know what the limits are. Someone else might be able to help here!

You can book restaurants 60 days in advance, you'll def need to do this over xmas- we were there for Nye and unless you book there not much chance of getting a table.

Thanks Tigger... we were torn between the Sequoia and the Disneyland Hotel for the Christmassy feel (a.k.a. the BPP - Big Pink Palace to us!) but the difference in price was almost £1k and with a WDW holiday to save for, we just couldn't justify the difference to ourselves (though we tried REALLY REALLY hard lol!)

Well DLH does have some appeal but Sequoia with its log fire and its cosy wintery feel is def the best hotel for xmas IMO.

You guys know me too well :rotfl: :rotfl:

Really Emma, moving there would be much cheaper :rotfl:

Woo hoo, wonderful news!!! :santa:
Also for anyone who has been lucky enough to partake in the past, would you recommend the Festive Character meals on Christmas Eve/day/both(!)?
We went for Christmas in 2005. We debated whether to book this for Christmas Day but were unsure because of the cost. In the end we decided against it after some advice on another forum where a poster advised me that although she had enjoyed the meal she felt you only got your moneys worth if you were a big drinker and the character interaction was limited to a show on the stage followed by them being mobbed by children. She said she was disappointed at not being visited at her table. As we had been unsure about spending so much on Christmas lunch after already doing the Tinker Bell dinner show a previous night this sort of made our minds up for us. So we booked a character lunch at The Lucky Nugget which was at their usual price. It was very festive in there and we were visited by the characters at our table. There is a report on it in my trippie (December 2005).

Hopefully someone else will come along with their experiences. :goodvibes

Xmas time at DLP will be wonderful. I'd say sod the grandparents :rolleyes1 ;)
The look on your DD's face when she sees Santa and his reindeer in DLP will be magical :goodvibes
