Yes i was fast asleep. We woke at 130am and on the road at 212 this morning. We got to Walterboro, SC at 3pm. Three fuel stops and a lot of moving and shaking. Traffic was good, some volume around Charlotte and on 26 but not unbearable. Well i am beat, time for dinner and some sleep. Tomorrow off to Titusville, FL, only problem i see is Daytona. Hope it is not too bad.

So we lave landed in Titusville for the weekend. We will visit KSC tomorrow before blasting off to arrive at the Fort on Monday. Traffic was good today just some volume around Jacksonville. Just about 5 hours of driving today, so much nicer then the 13 hour push yesterday.

Tomorrow off to KSC. Hopefully have something more exciting to post than my campsite. But all in all not a bad trip. Averaging 11 mpg at pretty much 70-72mph. Can't wait only two more wake ups and we will be there to see the Mouse !!!

One of the problems we had last year was the last leg of the trip our 7 plug wire fell and was ground almost in half along the road, causing us to loose our lights. We didn't notice until the day we were leaving and ended up at Walmart fixing it at 5am. Well this year I am preventing the same thing from happening, here is my solution.

A couple of bungies keep it up and on top of the propane tank for travel. Worked great on the way down.

Wow, did it come with that much slack in it?

Don't blame you for taking the extra precaution.

My 2nd TT had the same problem. I wrapped the cord completely around both propane bottles and snaked it between the WD bar and the frame to keep it from hanging. I like your bungie cord fix. Mine wouldn't give if I turned too tight. Bungies should stretch a little.

Tiggerdad, yes the original and my replacement had that much slack to it.
TeamUBR, The bungee answer allows for me to not have to worry and it gives me enough length.

Dang, I mean mine has enough slack to turn but nowhere near that much.

Well today was a great day outside and we logged about 8000 steps. I shot in the neighborhood of 250 pictures today, and got the chance to process a couple.
So let's blast off from Kennedy Space Center.

We are hooked up and ready for a quick teardown in the morning and a nice ride over to Disney. Oh yes. Lookout Fort here we come.

Me and my little buddy are waiting not-so-patiently.

We hit the fort at 715 this morning and they had a site in 200, we said we would wait on the one in 100 we had requested. We parked the trailer in overflow and drove over to AK for the day. Came back rehooked to the trailer, got into our site, only took five tries. Time for dinner and have to go get our mugs for the dining plan.

5 tries?

Well, at least you're honest about it.

The joys of a long wheelbase truck and short wheelbase trailer. Should have seen me trying to back a jet ski trailer. I couldn't even see it in the mirrors until it was too far gone. I finally gave up and pushed it in by hand.

This is the VERY reason I tell folks to check in early if possible and say you are willing to wait for what you want (loop 100 in your case). If you had checked in at 5 or 6pm, there would have been fewer choices in 100 since others would have taken the available sites before you arrived.

I plan on using the same strategy next month.

Long trucks and short wheel base make it harder. Then again getting a 40'er into a 300 site is pretty damn difficult as well.
