My mouth is on fire!!!

I took some cookies out of the oven (orange biscotti!!) and I couldn't help myself so I put one in my mouth. Now I can't feel or tatse ANYTHING. Can you have a 3rd degree burn in your mouth?

yep, It's probably closer to second or first, but yeah, you can burn your mouth.

Drink something cool, but not cold. Cold will make it worse.

Sure can! I burnt my mouth super bad one time on a piece of fried yellow squash. Thought it looked good and popped it in my mouth. Made a blister!

my mom ate something too hot once, managed to get it swallowed. SHe kept having really bad pains when she ate, went to the dr. and it turns out she had burned her esophagus.
