My Mommy's Gonna Write a Trippie Report all about Me & Mickey Mouse! (Pictures & all)

I can't believe you took all those pics of the lights and forgot to take a picture of the snowflake trash can!! :confused3 Didn't you say it was back there somewhere at MGM?
:yay: Hurry and post the next installment!!!!!:flower3:

Hey ocd4disney...yes, I did get a picture of the snowflake trashcan at MGM. I will have to find it and post it for you!! Thanks for reading along, the next installment is coming very soon!! ;)

Back to the Magic Kingdom, a Dream Team Moment and Freezing Wishes!

Waking up was very easy, knowing that we were going back to the Magic Kingdom once again. We figured we would take some pictures (hmm, imagine that…LOL) there on Main Street and then head back to Fantasyland for some more fun for the little one. Well once we entered the park, we instantly spotted some characters in front of Exposition Hall. Our DD immediately ran right up to them, smiling the whole way. The excitement she had for them was just the cutest thing. There really is nothing quite like watching your child enjoy herself as much as ours did at Walt Disney World!

Anyway, it was a bit chilly out that morning, but that did not stop our little one. She waited semi-patiently in line for her turn, giggling and pointing to everything that appealed to her. As we joked around and waited, a Disney cast member approached me. She said she had been watching our little one and commented on how excited she was. She asked us if our daughter had met Cinderella yet, to which I replied quite quickly, “no”…LOL. She then went on to inquire as to whether we would like a “private” meeting with Cinderella that afternoon. My face lit up as I quickly imagined a possible meeting within the royal castle!! Oh my goodness, my heart was beating, as I knew we were being granted a wish! I hadn’t even noticed this cast member until the moment she approached me. Yes, yes, yes, of course we would like a private meeting with Cinderella! Okay, so it turned out that we would not be meeting Cinderella in the castle but rather a private room in one of the shops there on Main Street. No worries though as that was fine by me. I was just so excited to have been approached by this cast member and given this opportunity for my little one. She explained that we would need to come back at 1:40pm and we would be escorted back. I thanked her kindly and by then we were up to the front of the line and it was our little one’s turn with the characters.

Pin3.jpg

Laughing...she wasn't sure she wanted to let go of her little Minnie Mouse.

Pin2.jpg

She loves these guys.

Pinnochiosquare.jpg

LOL...She was too busy to look at the camera! Hahaha.

Pin4.jpg

There's a quick look for the camera! Haha.

PinBeth.jpg

Yes, I finally got in one of the pictures.

DayThree026.jpg

This guy was funny and came right up to our DD.

DisneyPhotoImage206.jpg

DD immediately gave him a hug.

DayThree029.jpg

Meeting the other character.

DayThree036.jpg

Smile..say cheese!!!

DayThree038.jpg

I love this close-up shot.

DisneyPhotoImage205.jpg

Here I am again...LOL.

After plenty of time and many more pictures, we said goodbye to the characters and headed on over to Toontown for the rope drop. (Well actually just DD and I headed to Toontown as DH was going to go ride Space Mountain and then meet back up with us). So as we watched and waited, I could not help myself from sending my new DIS friend Heather a text message, as we had planned to meet for lunch that day. It just so happened that we were both going to be at Disney during the same time and decided to meet one another. Anyway, I am evil and just texted her saying that we had just been granted an “unbelievable wish” and would not give her any more information than that. I told her I would tell her all about it once we met at Cosmic Rays for lunch! Hahahahahaha…. yes, I admit I am evil; very, very evil, if you ask Heather. Okay so maybe she just does not get my sense of humor. Oh well. LOL.

It wasn’t long before Pluto appeared and the rope was dropped and we were all allowed into Toontown. The little one wanted to see more of the characters so we went straight for the Judge’s Tent. Since we hadn’t met any of the princesses yet and the line was very, very short, I thought that might be a good time. Well let me tell you something, our little one was NOT very keen on the princesses. She seemed a little timid and afraid to approach them. In fact, I had to go up with her, holding her hand and gently guiding her toward each and every one of them. I asked her if she would rather not meet them but she wanted to but she wanted to with the safety of mommy! Aw, my sweet little girl. So as it turned out, out little one loved any and all of the characters, as long as she could not see their “real face”. I have since learned this is quite the opposite for many children. I don’t mind though because I just adore the pictures of her and all the characters!

Snow2.jpg

Our little one would not approach Snow White without me!

SnowWhite.jpg

Aw, as you can see, she is not so sure about Snow White!

snow3.jpg

"Hey, where did Mommy go"?

Bell2.jpg

She was keeping her distance from Belle.

Bell.jpg

Still not sure she wanted this encounter.

Cinderella2.jpg

She got a little closer with Cinderella.

Cinderella.jpg

I like this shot, I just wonder what she was thinking. Hahaha.

DayThreeB036.jpg

Again, she insisted I go with her to meet Mary Poppins.

DisneyPhotoImage173.jpg

Hmmm....wondering if she should just walk away? Haha.

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST:

LOOKS LIKE I'M FIRST :woohoo:! DD's pants are adorable! That's awesome you found Belle in her gown! I've only seen her in her regular clothes!

After the meeting with the princesses, we got back in line to meet Daisy Duck Once we had finished we went back through Minnie and Mickey’s house as that is what the little one wanted to do. We then met back up with DH, and decided to take a spin on the teacups. Well as we approached the ride, whom do we see but Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. Our daughter loved that movie and I thought for sure she would talk to Alice, but nope, once again, she was not going alone. Oh well, DH managed to get some video of the interaction on video and it is quite funny to watch.

Daisy5.jpg

A hug for Daisy Duck.

Daisy3.jpg

I love the way she has her nose pressed up to Daisy's beak.

DaisyBW.jpg

Uh oh, look where her hand was headed.

Alice.jpg

There was no way she was going to talk to Alice or the Mad Hatter without me.

Duck.jpg

We found Donad's Christmas Tree lot...aww!

Duck4.jpg

I love the way they are leaning into one another.

Duck2.jpg

This is one of my favorites.

Anyway, we said goodbye and DH took DD on the teacups while I tried to get a good shot of them spinning around. She had fun spinning around with Daddy and then we all went on it again. After that ride it was about time to meet up with my Dis friend Heather so we all headed over to Cosmic Rays.

Spinning-1.jpg

I love her smile in this one, she had a lot of fun on the teacups.

afterteacups.jpg

I think she was a tad dizzy afterward but not enough that would stop her from going again.

Back home, when I first mentioned to my husband that I was planning on us meeting one of my DIS friends, he thought I lost my mind. He just didn’t get why I would spend hours reading the DISboards, making plans and chatting with fellow Disney lovers. He just didn’t get it and would often just laugh or give me a crazy, wicked grin, but I knew, at some point in our trip he would thank me.

My husband is a good guy though and deep down had no problem meeting my DIS buddy. I think I was the nervous one at first, though I am not really sure why. We had been chatting for quite some time and had even spoken on the phone. As we walked into Cosmic Rays, she spotted us first and came right up to us. It was like we had been friends forever, she is a very sweet person and I am so glad that we had the opportunity to meet. She was there with her husband only, as this was a quick trip for her without the kids. I don’t believe I would ever want to go to Disney without my little one; and I don’t think she will ever do that again either! (Smiles). Anyway, we all had a nice lunch and afterward we said goodbye, as they were heading on over to another park.

My husband and I thought we would experience some of the rides there in Tomorrowland since we were right there. We wanted to take our DD on the Buzz Lightyear ride and go for a cruise in the racecars. As we parked our stroller and started walking, we ran right back into the friends we had just met for lunch. Hmmm…. were they stalking us? Laughing….no, we had forgotten to take some pictures together so they came back looking for us and I am glad they did. Here are a couple of the pictures Heather sent to me. Thanks Heather!!! (And yes, for those of you who may be wondering, this is the same gal who “challenged” me to write this TR in the first place and has YET to start one of her own!! I guess that means I win by default!!! Hahahahahaha).

HeatherGroup.jpg

A DVC cast member kindly took this photo of all of us.

813326935405_0_ALB.jpg

Our little one loved this silly statute!

WDW169.jpg

Just hanging around here, checking things out.

Our little one just loved that Buzz Lightyear ride and wanted to go on it over and over and over again. She calls it the Buzz Space rider…hahaha. After that, it was time to head back to Main Street for our private meeting with Cinderella. I wished we had time to go get her Cinderella dress from the hotel, but we didn’t. That would have been perfect for pictures but no biggie as we had dinner reservations at 1900 Park Faire later on that week. She would be wearing her dress then.

The private meeting with Cinderella was very special. It wasn’t rushed at all; Cinderella took her time talking to our daughter and even managed to get her to respond. I could tell she was still a bit hesitant but afterwards she told us “Cinderella loves her”. Aw. I think maybe the next time we go to Disney World; she will be a little more open to the whole idea of the princesses. Right now, she is love with Minnie, Mickey, Donald and Goofy, oh and I better not forget Chip and Dale!!!

WDW245.jpg

Waiting for our private meeting with Cinderella, the little one kept herself busy.

WDW246.jpg

Up and down the stairs.

WDW254.jpg

Over and over again.

WDW252.jpg

Cind_Meet.jpg

Awww she was warming up to Cinderella!

Cind_meet2.jpg

I adore this picture, love the way she is keeping a close eye on us!

Cindmeet3.jpg

Finally a real hug for Cinderella!

After our royal engagement, we spent some time letting the little one play with the “sets” located in that same shop. .

Once done with that, we headed over to the other side of the park and rode around with some ghosts, flew on some magic carpets and then spotted some pirates. By then our tummies were rumbling and we decided to get a little snack. Our daughter and I spotted the popcorn and had to have some, and DH found some ice cream. Once we were satisfied and no longer hungry we thought it might be nice to see the Country Bear Jamboree. We headed over in that direction but got stuck over by Splash Mountain due to the 3pm parade. No worries from us though, as we enjoyed the parade the day before. Once we were able to, we made our way to the Country Bear Jamboree. I have to say that with everything we had experienced thus far with Disney, this show seemed to be lacking something. In our opinion, the sound system was very poor, we could barely hear some of the show. Our little one had fallen asleep on DH’s lap and since we were sitting at the end of an isle, right next to the exit, we decided to skip out and head back to Main Street. I wanted to get a little shopping in before we staked out a spot for Wishes. The weather had grown increasingly colder and I wanted to pick up something to put over our little one’s sweatshirt so she would not be cold while we stayed for Wishes.

Due to the severe change in the weather, I think a number of people had the same idea, as the stores were packed and everyone was buying whatever they could to keep warm. I am not kidding you, the wind and the cold was so bad that night. My Dad even called us once he saw the weather on the news. He wanted to see of it was true and yes, it was bitter cold. We get a lot of snow and cold weather where we live so it wasn’t like we weren’t used to it; it was just that we were not prepared for it in Florida!

WDW224.jpg

Of course she wanted to sit by Minnie Mouse.

WDW227.jpg

I LOVE this picture.

WDW225.jpg

Touching Minnie to see if she was "real".

WDW229.jpg

LOL...Not quite sure what she is doing here!! Hahaha.

We managed to get a viewing spot at the end of Main Street, right in front of the big Christmas tree. I figured that way, once Wishes was done, we could high tail it out of there and bypass a lot of the crowds. We were lucky in the fact that we could lean up against the rail that surrounded the Christmas tree display.

Wishes was incredible. What a spectacular display of fireworks, we loved it! Once again, I felt so good standing there with my family, enjoying every minute of it.

We left the park and took a bus to the Boardwalk. We checked out the hotel there and then thought we would get some dinner somewhere along the Boardwalk. It turns out those restaurants were just way too crowded and we could not get a table. Plus it was freezing so we decided to just walk back to the Dolphin and get something to eat there. We ended up at Picabu …, which in our opinion was not very good. The little one’s Mac’ n Cheese was ice cold, the nachos were stale and the steak was fatty. Laughing, oh well, we needed to get back to our room to pack, for the next morning we were moving into the Wilderness Lodge! I could barely wait, from the pictures I had seen, that hotel looked amazing!

Side note: Before we left home, my husband had told me he his new laptop computer had a CD burner installed. Well to make a long story short, it did NOT. I panicked, knowing I would have to cut back on my entire picture taking. I would not be able to burn the pictures on all the CD’s I had brought with me. We ended up removing a number of programs to free up some hard drive space, which I ultimately used all up. Laughing…my point is if you plan on taking tons of pictures, make sure you either have a CD burner, have enough space on your hard drive or have multiple memory cards or be prepared to pay a high amount to burn them there at Disney. (Smiles)

Up Next: Our Adventure to MGM Sudios and an Unexpected Kiss for the Little One!!

:thumbsup2 great installment........thanks for all the sweet things you said about me:hug: .......I don't know why you insist on living in the wrong state:confused3
looking forward to more;) where is the pic of the trashcan you promised?

and I started my trippie finally:coffee:

LOOKS LIKE I'M FIRST :woohoo:! DD's pants are adorable! That's awesome you found Belle in her gown! I've only seen her in her regular clothes!

Hey Tinkgirl! :goodvibes Thank you so much, I actually painted all those characters on her pants and added the "snow" on the bottom! I love to draw. Ohhh....I forgot to add my photo captions initially so I just went back and added them. LOL.:rotfl2: Thanks for reading along!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful Photos as always and some of you too. :thumbsup2: I'm meeting up with 3 other Disser's in August and my DH thinks I'm totally nuts and they could be axe murderers. I think DH's just don't understand

You were so lucky to get your private meet, maybe Disney are doing it more often for YOMD as you're the second person who I've read who's been chosen to do it!

/
OH..and you may be able to claim victory for the trippie....at least til I post mine......and I will:rolleyes1 ...but I win hands down the photo scavenger hunt. ........even if you did find the snowflake trashcan that I have yet to see proof of.:snail:

Still enjoying your TR. Your trip is bringing me down memory lane.

My DD (soon to be 5) was very hestitant with meeting the Princesses or any "real person" character when she was your DD's age. She now loves all characters and has no fear of them.

My DD would love to have a private meeting with any of the princesses. What a special treat.

Aw, thank you so much! I'm glad to know your DD loves all the characters, including the princesses now that she is older. I think my little one will be more into them on our next trip...whenever that it. Hahaha.:confused3

We saw the Osbourne Light Display this year and it was beautiful! I think your pictures look fantastic

How great that you guys had your own private meeting with Cinderella, that is too cool! I am loving your pictures! I got nervous when you said hubby's computer had no CD burner, so glad you figured something out.

Can't wait to read about your stay at Wilderness Lodge!

Hi Alyssa88, yea that light display was unbelievable. I told my DH I thought we should get all our neighbors to do that this next year in our cul-de-sac and he just gave me that crazy look! Hahahaha!

LOL....you should have seen me when I realized there was no CD burner!!! :sad2:

Thanks for reading along!!!

I'm LOVIN' your trip report! Your DD is just gorgeous and it looks like you all had tons of fun as a family. DH and I are taking our 14 month old (he'll be 17 months at the time) to WDW in May and we're sooo excited.

I do have a question for you, though. I'm in awe of your photography skills and I just gotta know what settings did you use for the photo of your DD and DH in the teacups? DH just bought me a Rebel XT and I'm (very slowly!) learning how to shoot in manual...

OKAY...okay....okay...TONS of comments:

1. YIPEE!! Pictures of the author! Always good! :thumbsup2

2. The pictures of her playing on the stairs while waiting to see Cinderella...I LOVE THOSE PICTURES! Sheer joy! Innocent fun at the world's most magical of places!! The simple pleasure of messing around with a railing! Her expression! I just love that set!!

3. Her pictures with "fake Minnie". ADORABLE! I love her expressions in those!

4. OF COURSE SHE MADE THE PANTS PEOPLE....MOUSETRIPER was born to make the rest of us "mortal moms" look bad! ;) She SEWS, she DRAWS, SHE PAINTS, her trip report is second to none, she takes PICTURES like nobody's business...it's a conspiracy I tell you! A conspiracy! ;) Lucky for me...she shares a bit of her wisdom from time to time! ;) WOW...You ROCK!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 And I just love the little "snow" you added to the pant legs!!

5. I love the picture with Cindy where she has one eye on you! TOO SWEET!

6. Buzz Space rider...hahahahaha!! I so cherish those sweet expressions!! Make sure you write that one in her baby book!!

7. The picture of her smiling on the tea cup is adorable...maybe the best one you have posted yet!!

8. So glad that your "friend" has not reappeared with any new notes for you all! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

9. I am jealous...a DIS meet with MouseTriper and I was not there! :snooty: :upsidedow

10. I am once again eagerly looking forward to the next installment!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :hourglass

And finally...I hope your dear little one is doing much better!! :goodvibes

Aww, thank you so much for all your kind comments! We did have tons of fun as a family! I am so glad we were able to finally take this vacation. It was a blast and I wish I was still there right now!!! Hahaha.

Okay I have to admit that spinning picture has a little post-processing added to it. :rolleyes1 I can't recall my exact settings (I believe I was using shutter-priority mode) but I know the blur was not exactly as I wanted it to be so I added a little more afterwards. I know, I know, kinda sounds like cheating but I gotta be honest! Hahahaha

(I am still trying to learn all the features my Nikon has....I am trying to do more and more manual and aperture or shutter priority. I am trying to stear clear of the auto mode).

Thanks again!

Hi Jay....once again you have me laughing!!!

1. Pictures of "this" author are NOT always a good thing...hahahaha! :lmao: Thus the reason why I love to be BEHIND the camera the majority of the time! Hahaha.

2. Oh yes the "rail" pictures...she was having so much fun. We often took little breaks and just let her play. It really doesn't matter what she is doing, she always has fun. She can always find something to keep herself occupied...that is UNLESS I am on the phone! Hahahaha...then she just wants me! Funny how that happens!

3. That one from the "fake Minnie" shots is my favorite. I loved watching her sit there next to Minnie, talking up a storm.

4. Okay this is the one where I about laughed myself right out of my chair! :rotfl2: I am a mere mortal mom too...no conspiracy here! I have a feeling Jay, that if your boys were girls you would be doing the same thing!!! Hahahaha. Come on, you know it!!!! LOL :lmao: (Seriously - thank you for ALL the WONDERFUL comments because you certainly made my day)!! You rock girl...your TR is a blast!

5. Ya, whenever we put her in front of a princess or "live" person she kept a very close eye on us. Gotta love it when they are still attached to ya though. She is gonna be 3 in March and I don't want the time to fly by too quickly!!! :cloud9:

6. Yes, the good ole "Buzz Space Rider"...definitely in her Disney memory book and your right, I should add that to her baby book as well. Thanks!

7. Yowsers....you think my teacup shot is the best one yet???? Okay now I feel truly, truly GUILTY. Please note my post above where I admit I added a "little" extra blur to that image. (Hiding face) :scared1: Sorry.

8. OMG, you crack me up....yes NO MORE 'friends" leaving us strange notes next to our bed while we are playing at the parks!

9. Aw, shucks, you have me blushing. I want a Dis meet with Jaycns!!! Now that would be so much fun!!! Just think I could take some pictures for you guys on the teacups and then add some post-processing blur for ya!!! Hehehehehe!

10. Thanks for reading along and being so patient. I think if I ever make it back to WDW and do another TR, I will write the whole thing out before I ever post the first installment. That way it won't take so long. Sorry. The little one is still not quite feeling up to par so I haven't had much spare time. Hopefully soon!

Okay, thanks again for EVERYTHING! You really are too kind!!!
