My Mom Surprised My Guy, And Me With A Disney Trip In January 2014

On our anniversary on July 6th this year. My mom surprised my guy, Dan and I by saying, "I bought your plane tickets today, for the two of you." I asked her, "Plane tickets for where?" My mom smiled, and said, "For Orlando when I go to my meeting in January." Dan and I looked at each other, and a huge grin spread across both of our faces.

Well as the months went by. We found out that two of our friends who live in the same town that we do are going to be there the same week as we are, and since my mom hadn't yet made hotel reservations. They invited us to stay with them at their timeshare at Old Key West. Dan and I had stayed there before with them when we went in April of 2011, and we had a blast. Now we're excited to stay there again.

I'll be bringing my own manual wheelchair this time as I don't want to have to hassle with having a rental one as I had done before. Dan and I are so excited. We hadn't been back since our last trip in April 2011, and from what I've heard. The Magic Kingdom has undergone some major changes.

We'll be there the week of the Martin Luther King holiday, and I know the parks will probably be very crowded. My mom will only be there for four days as she has to go back to work to teach her classes. She's a college professor. But, Dan and I will get to be there for a week with our friends.

Thanks Sue. Has anyone been there since the Magic Kingdom underwent the major changes/expansion? Are they all done with it, or are they still working on it? I heard they were going to be done with it by the end of this year, or the beginning of next year. But, I'm not sure. I can't wait to see it when we go. I was just showing Dan the YouTube video of the newly remodeled Test Track ride last night, and he's pretty excited about it.
