She fell and fractured her pelvis 3 weeks ago...and has had real trouble w/the various pain meds. She now has an distended upper bowel and needs to take care of that. She said the pain/pressure is unbearable...so much so that they think she has ruptured a disc somewhere during all of this....I just feel so bad for her, and the pain meds have made her SEVERELY depressed...she is starting to talk in a way that is scaring me... I feel so helpless here in Il and she is in Fl.....thanks for letting me share a bit.

It was not earned on FF miles, it was a bonus ticket for overseas travel DH did, and had a 6 month time frame. My kids are on break and I was even gonna grab them and take them with, but it is getting complicated. DH can't take any time off his slave job as usual, and actually has his hands full between interviewing for a new job in Cincinnati(that was also going on yesterday) and heading to SC for current job. My mom is jsut so sad and in pain...I can only talk with her briefly as she has a tube in her nose and it makes it difficult for her to swallow, talk etc., plus she is so hungry...My oldest brother lives in Fl and he is going to drive down to the hospital today, I hope that helps her a little.I feel like I do not know which way to turn...deal w/mom, kids who are bored as all their friends are away, DH job/possible relo, in-laws who keep calling to tell us SIL is coming in from CA for Easter(you'd think SHE was the resurection) and we need to contribute $200 for airfare to "help them out"
