My mini and interesting trip report from the lousy Pop Century and POFQ

wow...........disney values are for people who CANT AFFORD ANYTHING ELSE...........give me a break..........we have stayed at the all stars over 10 times. is it packed........yep, are the busses packed.........yep..........but its disney . we have a GREAT time, my dd and friends have all had great times. we stay at the parks, usually swim sometimes in the afternoon or go to lunch at one of the hotels. so it works for us..........i just love being there.......someday if i CHOOSE to spend more money we just might try a more $$$$$$$$$$ hotel...................hah but we just might not..............to each their own.....................................................................

I went on TOT 5 straight time with no wait on Tuesday night. This is when the fun started.

Yeah you did it. The pics are great and worth waiting for. Hope you write the rest of your report. I would like to see how it turned out. Don't let the others scare you away. I am sure others have problems sometimes too , life is not perfect carry on.

On Tuesday we got back to the POFQ at around 12 am. We decided to go swimming. At Pop Century there were about 20 people our first night there in the pool at 12 but at POFQ this year AND last year there was no one there. A few stragglers but besides that the hot tub and pool was ours. We sawn for about a half hour then sat in the hot tub or visa versa. Forget which came first. I think we sat in the tub first. Anyway we got back into the room at 1 am. Now the only thing i dont like about POFQ is that there food court isnt open until late night which is understandable however I was really thirsty and opening the fridge didnt help as there was no soda left.

We woke up at 8 as usual and hopped on the bus and got ot Epcot around 8:30 and we went directly to Soarin. We rode it three times in a row without even leaving our seats!! Becuase I have Tourettes and I was very hyper all week I like to sit at the end of all rides so I dont have a stranger next to me. Just one of those thing that calm me down a lil bit. The only problem is that u can see the end of the screen. That kinda bother me but I still love that ride more than any other is disney.

We saw everything in Epcot except the countries. We were just too tired and my wife had a rash on her legs all week so I didnt want to make her walk. It was frustrating but I tried to be nice about it since she had to deal with my yelling all week.

As always I ended my trip with the Magic Kingdom. Funny story we walked into the haunted mansion and I of course was yelling a little very low but noticable. When I walked in I saw a cast member standing against the wall. I looked at him to try and figure out is he was real. He was. When we entered the lobby, he walked up to me and said "are u going to be doing that during my whole stretch?" He looked at me with a blank stare. He actaully spooked me a little bit as he was very close to me. I said "yes sir becuase I have tourette syndrome" He looked at me and simply turned around and walked away. Excellent acting on his part.

After the mansion we rode every ride there a couple times each. We saw wishes again and of course I loved it. I get so said on my last night but this time I was kinda looking foward to getting home. My tourettes were horrendous and got tired of having to explain myself.

Forgot to mention. All week were only spent money on drinks and aspirin and stuff for her heat rash. I made it a mission to not buy food. Not that I couldnt just that I didnt want to. Anyway we were sitting at MGM on Wednesday between Epcot and Magic Kingdom and were starving. I was sitting next to the brown derby. When we walked in we asked if they accepted the food card and the teenager host said yea sure. So we did our thing ordered the appetizer. I had shirt ribs and she had shrimp. When we got our food I was appaled. For 11$ (normally) They gave me One short rib upon a scoop of "goulash" which looked like rice and something else. As always I decided to talk to the waiter. I asked him if he likes when he gets the food plan. He said yea it isnt bad becuase u get the 18% and its on your check. So yea I dont mind it. Then he said But people dont usaully dont come in here with the meal plan becuase its a 2 point restuarant. I was like "huh?" He confirmed. I was really pissed becuase I only had 2 left one for me and one for her. We talked to a manger but she did nothing. Now I ended up having to pay for her cobb Salad and drink. We didnt get dessert. Now the thing I dont get is that the restuarant doesnt impress me at all. The total bill was at Canada was 103$ and we didnt get dessert or even order anything extravagant. And it was just a 1 point place. The Born Derby's billl was 69 and it was a 2 point res. It was a total waste for me as I didnt even like the steak and the amount of food I got.

Well ive been home now for 6 days and I already miss Disney And cant wait to go back next Labor Day. As far as my unlike for the Pop Century well maybe its just that I like the POFQ so much better. It has everything I need and more. As I mentioned I wish there was a place open alot later for snacks. and stuff when I get back from extra magic. It has a hot tub nice pool across a river from downtown disney the buses are never crowded and the pool bar abd even the scat cat club are cool too. I will never ever go anywhere else.

it is a good thing we all have different likes and dislikes......I have been to Disney over 20 times....six times at Port Orleans French quarter .....5 or so at Dixie Landings which is Port Orleans Riverside....four or so times at the Dolphin and 5 or so times at all Star movies....love them all for different reasons...if we all liked the same things we would have no openings at the different resorts.....

It seems some quality control is slipping. Poor houskeeping at economy resorts. We ate at the coral reef and the menu had been downgraded to a single ticket meal. This seafood restaurant had only 2 of 8 entrees that were seafood. No lobster (except soup) and no crab legs...? Why not have the choice of a single ticket meal or a double. Like different prices, what a concept.

Don't worry about being negative. We are fixing the problems for the rest, and our future visits.

Thank you for taking the time to finish your trip report. I enjoyed it and am very glad that you mastered posting your photos; they add so much.

As an aside - I can't even imagine the stress you are under in response to your Tourette's syndrome.

And, btw, I have in the past very much enjoyed the Brown Derby, but we, too, were disappointed our last visit in December.
