Took magical express to Pop Century. Went in with an open mind, however after staying at POFQ last year I wasnt expecting it to be better than that. But on this board I noticed people seem to go back and back so I chose it as a way to save some bucks.
Well when I arrived I had no idea that it would be this packed with people. I was mortified. I waited in line for 43 minutes to check in to this dump. The icons were cute however why you guys brag about the pools is beyond me. They look like pools u see at the motel 6 off route 80. So one is shaped like a bowling pin. BIG DEAL.
We went into our room and said Oh this isnt to bad (close to the main building since we paid for a preffered room.) My wife said WOW this is small. I thought I could care less at least its clean. We then went to Epcot and we seemed both depressed like we werent even at Disney. The lines were horrendous. So, we got a fast pass to ride my favorite ride which is Soarin. There was a 90 minute wait. It wasnt like this last year during Katrina ill tell ya that. So we went to go to spaceship Earth which I think is very cool. No wait there. After walking around we went on Soarin' we had to figure out a way to kill 5 hours until we met out reservations at Le Cellier. I checked in and and told the girl i was going to smoke a cig. With our res at 6:45 I found my self sitting at the lobby until 7:45. I asked what was up and another women said "we didnt think you were here". Apparantly we were "unarrived" I was about to scream so i asked the girl "did u unarrive me?" With a ****ty attitude she said "Unfortunately I did" I asked why and she simply ignored me. If I was in NJ I would have raised hell however I remained calm and we got the next table. After eating we went back to the hotel.
We were miserable. I wanted a drink. When I noticed that there was a line of about 8 people long in three different lines I was about to freak out!! The food court was packed at 10 pm. My wife was about to cry. I said listen we wont be here that much. We woke up at 7 to get ready for the bus. We got there at 8 to go to the Magic Kingdom. Well needless to say it was standing room only.
The kingdom was packed 45 minute waits on every single ride. After getting dropped off and picked up at the furthest bus stop we had simply enough. When I got back to the resort. I asked to speak to a manger. After waiting in line to do so we told him how unhappy we were and asked to transfer us to the POFQ. He said ill see what i can do. We went back to our room and he called us at around 4PM an hour or so after I spoke to him. He had the greatest news . Not only would he tranfer us they would do it at NO EXTRA CHARGE!. I was so damn happy. I love the French Quarter.
Ok here are my reviews. By the way Monday thru wednesday the lines were amazing in and out of rides in less than 15 minutes.
