We had a similarly-puzzling case last summer. A local woman did not come home from work. She was Mrs. Responsible, etc. her family was frantic. I think everyone was assuming the worst. A statewide hunt ensued. We got involved at work bec a car was abandoned in our parking lot during that time which matched the description of her car. Five cop cars, guns, and cadaver dogs later... nope, not her. Just an abandoned stolen car. She was eventually found by a cop up north --she was sitting under a tree and told them she needed a 'break'. I've often wondered what has happened to her since.
Dear OP, You and your DH (and your DMIL) have been thru enough already. Please do not feel you have to come back here and answer any questions. It is no one here's business!
I totally agree. Please don't feel you need to come back to this thread Calliaz. You did a very good thing trying to help to find your MIL. Now that she's home, please get some rest and try to put it behind you as best you can. You're obviously a very caring daughter-in-law.
