I joined Connections the other day and bought enough vouchers to cover all our meals, except for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm so excited because this is a surprise trip for my family, my DH, Mike doesn't even know! hehehehe.....

I pre-paid for the room and now I even have meals covered. Now all I need to do is budget some travel and mad money.

I just wanted to tell someone since I have no one to share this with here-lol.

YAY I'm actually pulling this off!!!!

**UPDATE*** I recieved all the vouchers today via UPS, I had no problems with the order!! I placed the order online on Friday and then more on Saturday all arrived today. Just wanted to let you know! Yay, I'm so happy-lol.

WTG Hallie!

Isn't that a great feeling??? I bet your dh will be shocked!

I'm trying to do the same thing for our Easter trip. I like to have most of the cost of the trip covered before we leave home.

Enjoy your trip!

I too am doing that for the Easter trip and another in June. It feels great knowing everything is coming together and that there won't be a huge crdit card bill in the mail as a very long lasting reminder that the trip is over! Happy planning!:jester:

Where are you planning on using your connections??
I have bought 14 kids breakfast vouchers and 10 adult vouchers, plus about 4 Kingdom Lunch Vouchers and 8 Quick and casual vouchers///

Here's how I plan to use them:

Breakfast Vouchers
Cindy's
Kona Cafe
1900 Park Fare
Donald's Breakfast (AK)
Norway

Kingdom Lunch
Tappenyaki
Hollywood Brown Derby

Quick and Casual
Beaches and Cream
All Star Sports Food Court
Various Counter Service restaruants

With the increase in the price of the character breakfast, I think the vouchers are a great deal. Other than Beaches and Cream, I'm not really looking at the quick and casual vouchers as a way to save money, but more of a way to pre- pay the meals.

I'm also using mypoints to get several GCs for Rainforest Cafe. I should have $75 worth by Easter. So far the only meals I'll have to pay "cash" for during the trip are Ohana's, Narcoossee's and Chef Mickey's.

We're using mostly Quick and casual vouchers(I bought 12) at the counter service places and Beaches and cream. Then I also bought 4 adult breakfast vouchers for Hollywood & Vine and Donalds breakfast.

Does anyone know how long they take to come in?

Hi All! My family of four are heading to WDW in 18 more days. I'm interested in the meal vouchers through connections. I juoined connections and was thinking of ordering the Quick and Casual vouchers but have a lot of Questions.

First Do you save anything by purchasing the Quick and Casual compared to just paying for the meals at Disney?

Second, Are the vouchers honored at all the counter service places or what?

Can they be used at Beaches and Cream. Diffently want to take my two teenagers daughters there. They want us to do the "Everything but the Kitchen Sink".

Can they be used at Beaches and Cream?

I'm looking for advice. Time is running out.

That's another question, Is it possibe to get the vouchers in time for our trip.

Where staying off site, so we'll have four days at the parks, PH, for that.
Going to A Dinner theater one night,
so really all we need is to do is cover the park days.

Is Quick and Casual our answer?

18 days and counting......

Here are some answers to your questions:

1. It depends on what you order. Some meals and restaurants are a better deal than others. Check the menus on www.wdwig.com to get an idea of where the great deals are.

2. Here is a link to a thread about which restaurants accept the vouchers. I think that the majority of the CS places are included in the program. Places to use Connections Vouchers

3. They can be used at Beaches & Cream. You usually have to use two vouchers in order to get a Kitchen Sink. The idea is better than the reality. IMO, the Kitchen Sink is truly disgusting. Of course, I pack carrot and celery sticks in my kid's school lunches  . Some of the other desserts are really yummy!

4. 18 days should be plenty of time to get your vouchers. I've never waited longer than 5 days (including weekends) for my orders. Others have reported having problems receiving vouchers though. I can only tell you that none of the 7-8 orders I've placed have had errors.

5. Only you can answer the question of whether Q&C is the answer for you and your family. Think about what you usually order. If it ordinarily would cost you less, don't go with the vouchers. We get enough to cover some of our meals, but not all of them. We want to make allowances for the times when we're not really that hungry. On occassion, we've even split a single voucher between the 4 of us, when we haven't been that hungry. An example of this would be:

- Chicken fingers (order ala carte w/out the fries - not on the menu, but you can do it)
- Nachos (side)
- Brownie (they're HUGE! We split it in 4, and everyone still gets a generous amount)
- bottled water (we usually use our refillable mugs for extra drinks).

Since we're not always huge dessert eaters, we've also used the vouchers at the food courts, and have gotten danishes and mixed fruit for our desserts. We take these back to the room, and enjoy them for breakfast the next day - it's kind of like getting two meals for one :).

Have fun on your trip!

Thanks HookdonWDW,
I'm going to try ordering some. We'll be eating breakfast at our hotel. And since we're doing some meals in our room. Staying off site and bringing a few snacks and already prepared meals with us. These vouchers should really cover the park ours. Thanks so much for your reply, it was very helpful.

Glad I could help you. The vouchers really can be nice to have. I hope you have a great time!
