My Magical Journey to Running the Half Marathon TR Link! p.107

Love the coin scarf. That is very cool.

Sorry I haven't been out here much. I fool around way too much on FB. :confused3

No worries Melissa! You also sound very busy from your status updates!

Hey Carissa - you are right...a lot of trips to consider that is for sure!

California certainly sounds great! And LaJolla and San Diego are so close to DL and great places to visit. Sigh! I wish I was there. If you get to San Diego, don't forget to drive across to Coronado and check out the Del...the Hotel that inspired the Grand Floridian at WDW. It is just beautiful. Great little shops inside and there is a beautiful place to have a casual lunch inside.:goodvibes

My package of brochures showed up yesterday so I have a lot to look through. :thumbsup2

One TR....

Coming up SOON!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Can't wait! :cool1:

I am loving the back and forth ADR planning you guys have going! :thumbsup2

Cool! Glad we aren't boring y'all. :thumbsup2

Love the coin scarf! Let us know how the dancing lessons go.;)

Will do!

Just caught up with all the gosssip-wish I was going with you guys on your trip-you sound like you're having great craic already with all the dinner plans:cool1:Just realised from your ticker that you've lost 15lbs Carissa-WOW WELL DONE:worship:

I need a translation! What is "craic"??

Good to see you! I was thinking about you. :goodvibes

Thanks! Sometimes 15 pounds doesn't seem like much with all that I need to lose. But, I can see the changes in my body and that feels good.

I received a package from California yesterday with lots of brochures inside!

Thanks again, Keith!

I also never mentioned that I ordered and received the UOG 2010 book a while back. I still haven't even cracked it open. :sad2: I also borrowed a couple of books from the library about Disneyland, Southern Cal, and San Diego. Now I just need to find some time to sit down and start planning! I am much more interested in seeing outdoor, natural stuff than I am with checking out Hollywood or other stuff like that. I'm thinking about doing a kayaking tour in La Jolla. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to share. :goodvibes

~ Week 8 ~

This was a much better week for me and I got in all three of my runs. :thumbsup2 I don't think I did any cross training yet again. :sad2: I really need to work on that. It's mainly a time issue.

On Tuesday I finished week 7 with no problems and Thursday I moved on to week 8 and the 28 minute run. Thursday was harder than Tuesday and it had nothing to do with the added three minutes. I just wasn't feeling it as much. On Tuesday, I felt I could have kept going even after I did the 25 minutes while on Thursday I struggled to make it that far. But, I did it! :cool1: Today I did another 28 minute run. One more day for week 8 and then I move on to my final week of the program. Can you believe it??? :woohoo: :woohoo:

"When people say to me: "How do you do so many things?" I often answer them, without meaning to be cruel: "How do you do so little?" It seems to me that people have vast potential. Most people can do extraordinary things if they have the confidence or take the risks. Yet most people don't. They sit in front of the telly and treat life as if it goes on forever."

~Philip Adams

You will LOVE SoCal!! La Jolla is very, very beautiful, and a kayak trip sounds perfect. Make sure to get down to the Cove as well to do some beach combing.

My favorite place though, is Seaport Village, and outdoor shopping area along the waterfront. Tons of fun shops, a nice view of the Navy fleet, the Coronado Hotel, kites flying all around! Very cool!

Sorry sometimes I write as I speak forgetting that not everyone is from here:lmao:
"Craic" means fun/witty banter type stuff. If someone is "good craic" they're fun to be around (some activities would be described as good craic and that just means they're enjoyable or made you laugh). There is no opposite though-no such thing as "bad craic"-only good or great craic!
There you have it Irish-American translation class over for the day:rotfl2:

Not quite you would say -there are some on here that are just great craic.
Now if you ever visit Ireland you'll be speaking like a local:rotfl:

Someday I'd really love to. I've been to England and Scotland, but not to Ireland. Hmmm... is it winkers that's got an idea to go there?? I'll check and send her to you, if I'm right. I know it was someone on here that wanted to visit there.

I'm excited! Not much of a shopper though.

I was excited to see so many!!

I know Cherie wants to visit Europe, but I don't remember her specifics. I would LOVE to visit England, Scotland, and Ireland! And someday I will! :thumbsup2

Hi Carissa! Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I have been reading along though. Just super busy lately. It's really amazing that you are running 28 minutes now! Keep it up!!

I love all of your new travel goodies too! :thumbsup2

Told my husband that you wished you could hear me talk and he roared with laughter-anyone that knows me knows I love to talk (alot!!):rotfl2:

I had laryngitis one winter and even I couldn't believe how quiet it was! That's why I married a nice quiet shy guy-I should have thought to tell the kids though-they provide serious competition:rolleyes1

By the way I'm sure you all know this but craic is pronounced "crack" and sometimes things "aren't bad craic" which still means good fun because there is no "bad craic":confused3

Everyone still understanding things:)

No worries Amy! Check in when you can. :goodvibes

I'm amazed myself!

We'd get along just fine. :thumbsup2 Well, we might have to talk over one another, but we'd make it work. I think most of us talkers are married to quieter people. ;)

No, I didn't realize that! Your craic = our crack. :rolleyes1 That could be confusing and a bit dangerous here in the U.S. :rotfl: I do understand the phrase "aren't bad craic" means good fun. :thumbsup2
