My Magical Journey to Running the Half Marathon TR Link! p.107

Wow..the final three weeks! You are doing a great job! Keep it up! :cheer2:

That Vera is cute, but it looks really small. Have you seen it up close and personal? I can see the measurements but it's hard to tell how much it would hold.

I am so stoked for you Carissa!!! It's truly amazing how you've perservered and you've inspired me more than you'll ever know! Now if the weather would just get warm again!!!

I'm joining in! I am on W2D2 but i dont think im ready to move on to W3 after tomorrow, I still struggle with the 90 seconds after about the 3rd interval. I wish I would have read this before I started I could have avoided shin splints (which I have now because I didn't watch my pace!)

:cool1: on getting through the 25 minutes! That is fantastic, but I knew you were going to do it.

I'm so glad you all have faith in me even when I don't! :grouphug:

Great job Carissa! Knew you could do it! Before you know it 3 mile runs will be the short ones:goodvibes

I'm not sure that is a good thing! :rotfl:

Getting over a "hump" in anything is always a relief!

Keep up the good work!

Kathy

Thanks Kathy! It's very empowering. :)

Good job Carissa!:thumbsup2 You are doing awesome!

TV or music can be a lifesaver through those runs, can't it? Hats off to the people who can go deep inside themselves during a run...for me, I need as much distraction as possible!:rotfl:

We are also in a CSA and it has been wonderful! I love knowing where our food comes from and getting a basket for of surprises each week.:goodvibes

I am so excited about the farm share!! I'm even looking into a meat share. I watched Food Inc. yesterday and it has completely changed how I am going to buy our food (and what I'm going to buy).

I thought the same thing. No, I haven't seen it in person and I didn't buy one myself. But, I wanted to pass on a good deal in case anyone else was interested. :goodvibes

I'm so proud of you! And inspired!!! Great job!

Amanda

Thanks Amanda!

Way to go! That TV really helps me too! You will be up to 30 before you know it!! :cheer2:

Distraction is so important.

I am so stoked for you Carissa!!! It's truly amazing how you've perservered and you've inspired me more than you'll ever know! Now if the weather would just get warm again!!!

Thanks Liesa! Fingers crossed for some nice weather!

Congrats again on the 25 min run!! :cool1:

:welcome: So glad you're joining us! Congrats on starting the program. :cool1: I think many people make the mistake of going out too fast in the beginning. Have you followed the C25K thread over on the W.I.S.H. board?

Last night I watched a documentary called The Spirit of the Marathon. I recommend it for any runners out there. It follows a bunch of different people as they prepare to run the Chicago Marathon. It also goes into the history of the marathon too. :thumbsup2

Thanks :) Just another day around here. ;)

I'm not really sure at this point. I will probably just try to increase my speed. I'd like to be running 3 - 4 meals each time I workout. It's too early to begin officially training for the half so I haven't figured out exactly what I'm going to do. Once my husband returns from deployment this summer, I'll start doing some longer runs outside on the weekends.

Happy Birthday to YOU! Haven't posted much but I've been following your progress - you're doing so awesome!

Make sure you celebrate today - you know, go for a run or something ;)
