My Magical Journey to Running the Half Marathon TR Link! p.107

You look mah-velous dah-ling, simply mah-velous!!

:cool1:

Gosh Carissa a blind man on a galloping horse would still be able to see how good your doing :woohoo:
I can really see how you've changed shape-well done!
What is your final weight-loss goal? Or do you not have a particular final weight in mind?

I know how annoying that is when you accidentally pull that thingy out...been there, more than a few times!

Anyway, great job yesterday!! :thumbsup2

You're getting leaner and your hair is getting longer. lol

WTG with your run today!!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Sounds like you ran for more than the 25 minutes. :yay:

I wish I had a treadmill in my house, I'd run everyday!

If I didn't have a treadmill, I couldn't run at all right now so I'm very glad to have it. :thumbsup2

You look awesome! Keep up the good work!!!
I think I'd fall over and die if I ran at 5.0! :worship:

Amanda

It was only for a minute, but it felt good. :goodvibes

Lookin' good, Carissa! :thumbsup2

Kathy

you look fabulous! I'm sure I'd fall of a treadmill...period! At any speed.

You look mah-velous dah-ling, simply mah-velous!!

:cool1:

Thanks everyone! :)

:rotfl:

I'm not really sure. I have lots of little goals. Like getting back to what I was about a year and a half ago (nearly there), weighing what I did when I got married (another 15 to go), getting down to my thinnest as an adult (35 to go). I'm just not sure what my ideal weight should be. I know it's higher than most charts out there. I'm a stocky, compact girl. I'm never going to be a size 4. :rolleyes1 No way these birthing hips of mine would fit! ;) Whenever I get to a point where I feel comfortable with how I look and the weight is much harder to come off I'll probably say, "Okay. This works for me."

I know you are feeling great.
Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

I am feeling great! I have so much more energy these days. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I'm surprised at how much it's grown! Chuck notices my hair too when he sees the pictures. He prefers long hair so he's very excited that I've decided to grow it out.

Ilove they way you guys size clothes-means I get to be a size 10 again (here I'd be a 14!):rotfl2:

I think you have the right idea-just keep going and you'll know when you've reached your goal:thumbsup2

You're really doing great! It's more about being healthy than being a specific size or weight. Seriously!!!

I know. I even had a conversation about that with my husband last night. Just hard to remember sometimes. ;)

We definitely live in a society that promotes the anorexic look. It makes it hard for normal people to feel good about themselves. You should be SO proud of what you're doing!

Amanda

Congrats Carissa! I can really see your weight loss in your face!

Keep up the good work! :thumbsup2

So true. I am proud of what I'm doing and I feel and see a difference in my body every day. :thumbsup2

Thanks Michelle!

ADD 4 to whatever size you are in USA but you know what I wouldn't worry about clothes labels just enjoy feeling loose baggy clothes and hauling up those jeans:rotfl2:

Will do. :thumbsup2

I've decided that for the final three weeks of the program, I'm just going to journal once a week about my runs. I'll jot some notes down after each one and then probably journal on the weekend when I'm not so busy. :thumbsup2

Just a tip for anyone looking for an inexpensive Vera Bradley bag, the Hannah is now marked down from $45 to $12. If you put in save20sale it brings the price down to $9.60 plus shipping. I think the code might expire today, but I imagine the marked down price will continue until they run out. :confused3

Attempt number three on my 25-minute run. Was I successful? Did I pull the thingy out yet again??? :rolleyes1

Yes I was and no I didn't! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I was watching the rest of a recorded show from last night called, What's On Your Plate, which was on the Green Channel. We have joined a CSA program in our community and I am very much into learning about eating locally and more natural foods so this movie/documentary kept me very distracted from my run. :thumbsup2

It went quite well. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't that difficult. Watching TV during my runs really has been a lifesaver for me. I feel like I've gotten over the hump for this program now. For the next three weeks I will slowly increase my run time from 25 minutes to 30. Seems doable, right? I can't believe I've made it this far. :goodvibes

My totals for today:

Speed: 3.5 for warm up, 4.0 for jog/3.3 cool down
Duration: 35 minutes
Distance: 2.25 miles

:cool1: on getting through the 25 minutes! That is fantastic, but I knew you were going to do it.

Great job Carissa! Knew you could do it! Before you know it 3 mile runs will be the short ones:goodvibes

Good job Carissa!:thumbsup2 You are doing awesome!

TV or music can be a lifesaver through those runs, can't it? Hats off to the people who can go deep inside themselves during a run...for me, I need as much distraction as possible!:rotfl:

We are also in a CSA and it has been wonderful! I love knowing where our food comes from and getting a basket for of surprises each week.:goodvibes
