My Magical Journey to Running the Half Marathon TR Link! p.107

You should get a big picture of the castle for that wall:thumbsup2 I'm sure that'd be something great to look at!!

That's an idea! :thumbsup2

yes, depending on which "village" you are in, it can be quite a walk to the Main Building...but the renovated rooms make it feel more like a deluxe resort....I'd go for it!

I've been checking out which area is the best to request. And as long as I'm near the bus stop, I can handle the rest.

This household loves Wes Welker...maybe not in the same way as you though;)

My roommate is a rabid Dolphin fan and Wes in an ex-Dolphin.......

Wes is good people. And an amazing WR to boot. :thumbsup2

Love the tokens of inspiration! Whatever keeps you running, right?!

And Tom...a Yankees hat?? Really?? No disrespect to those Yankee fans out there, but we told our boys at an early age they could like any baseball team they wanted except for the Yankees. If they ever chose to be Yankees fans, they'd need to find alternate accommodations! LOL! :lmao:

I know! And he's a NEW ENGLAND PATRIOT living in Boston!! :confused3 And he's from California. :confused3 I forgive him though. Unless he leaves the Pats and then we'll have words. Unless we could get Matt Cassel back and then I'd be okay. :hippie:

Great inspiration! It is much harder to run on treadmills. Could you move it where you could watch TV? That makes it at least bearable for me.

The TV is directly to my left when I'm on the treadmill. I could watch it, but I'd get a huge kink in my neck. We used to have it set up so I could watch TV, but we have such a small living room that the set up wasn't working for me. It's really not a big deal. I just wish I had a pretty picture on the wall to stare at.

wes welker love here to. I am not a Pats fan, you know that. But I love good football. It's beautiful to watch him and Brady....

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

you're doing so good!!

I could never jog or run....besides my knee issues, untill they invent a concrete sports bra....it ain't gonna happen....I don't need buises under my eyes.

I have 2 words.

Title Nine. Which is a store that specializes in concrete. Kid you not. rated by dumbells in terms of support levels. I have a similar issue and is worth the investment!

At this point, I'm strongly leaning towards staying at CSR for this trip. :thumbsup2 Of course, the trip is still almost a year away so lots of time for changes to keep things exciting. :cool2:

After trying out both pair of running shoes, I decided to go with the New Balance 1011s. They've been working great so far. :thumbsup2

~ Week 1 Day 3 ~

2) I did lunges yesterday and I'm not sure that was a great idea. My legs were a bit sore and tired today.

3) Last night I ate a package of cheese crackers. It was the first processed food I've had since I started the program. Some might laugh that something like that could affect me so greatly, but I'm a strong believer in you are what you eat. When I eat poorly, I feel poorly. In my log book I'm keeping track of what I eat before I workout and making notes of any foods that might have hindered my performance. Need to stay away from crappy food.

You should be sore from lunges. That is a GOOD thing. Not I can't walk kind of sore but the nice kind of muscle tired sore. Sore is good. If you aren't, you aren't doing them right or are in amazing shape!

Something else you will probably find as you increase the workouts. You will sleep a lot better!

CSR looks lovely. I would definitely suggest that you go on the Disney site occasionally and save itineraries. While they aren't doing PIN codes for 2011 yet a lot of us have gotten PIN's for this year by doing it and that could really open up your options! Marathon weekend might be a blackout though, not sure but it doesn't hurt to try!

Were you considering DVC for the kitchen aspect?

Love the inspirational pics!

You are doing great!

OH, Carissa, I HEART Wes, Tommy :lovestruc and the CASTLE!!! ::yes::

I will tell you I am the complete opposite...when I get on my treadmill (here in our complex, I do not personally own a treadmill) I IMAGINE SWEETS; cupcakes, ice cream sundaes, chocolates; everything I can have if I get a good solid work out in!!!

Oh, one thing I try very hard to do is eat nothing after dinner. :goodvibes If I am hungry then I make myself a cup of herbal tea or I have a banana or apple. Fruit is on the FREE list on WW's hence my always reaching for a piece of fruit. :thumbsup2

One other thing, Carissa, get yourself a NALGENE and keep that with you ALL THE TIME full of water. Drink it all day long. It will and does curb your appetite. AND does a body GOOD!!! :woohoo:

I realize I should be sore from doing the lunges. Just not sure it was the smartest thing to do the day before my run. I took it easy on my legs today.

I normally sleep very well and never have problems with insomnia. I had a cold right before I started this program and was taking cold medicine at night. Once I stopped, I was just having a hard time falling asleep because I was excited about this challenge. When I get excited about something, I have a difficult time drifting off. Once asleep, I have no problems. I just need to start getting myself to bed earlier. I've gotten into a bad habit of staying up too late with my husband gone.

I heard someone else mention that. I'll definitely give it a try. :thumbsup2

Not really. I was just looking to stay somewhere nice. But, I think CSR will fit the bill.

:lmao: But, you're trying to maintain a weight. I need to lose! I can't be thinking about sweets. I have zero willpower when it comes to limiting myself. :sad2:

We eat dinner very early so there's no way I can go without something before bed. I've been limiting myself to either an apple or some plain popcorn. And tea.

I'll have to look up to see what a NALGENE is, but I drink quite a bit of water. I drink nothing else. If I drank water constantly all day, I would never leave the bathroom - seriously!! :rolleyes1

I will definitely be rooting for you!!! What a huge undertaking and I know you are going to do it and I will be cheering you on!!!

I'M a YANKEE, but not a Yankee fan. BIG difference!! ;) :rotfl:

I will definitely work on something for that wall. :thumbsup2

OK Carissa, because I like you and because I am so proud of your determination to accomplish your goal....I am willing to overlook your obvious bad taste in sports teams!:rolleyes1:goodvibes On a more serious note, I think New Balance are the BEST sneakers for running, that is all I wore when training for the marathon!

New Balance are the best. :thumbsup2

I thought I should post a few more pictures of my lovely family. My children may not be going along on this trip physically, but they're obviously a huge part of my life.

The one with me was taken a couple of years ago. And the one with Chuck was taken the evening before he deployed. From oldest to youngest, our boys are Sullivan, Owen, and Connor.

And my other two children: :rolleyes1

And Darwin the Russian Tortoise

My parents will have their hands full while we're gone! :upsidedow

Beautiful children. :) It must be hard to have your husband away for such a period of time. You have my thoughts and my respect! :goodvibes

Lovely, lovely family! Your boys look like great kids!
