Cast; Me(Birthday girl) turned 39 on Saturday, Mom (young mom 57) and DD (fiesty 9 year old). DH got hurt at work and could not come-piece of re-bar through his leg!!! So Mom took his place...This turned into a girls trip!

THURSDAY SEPT 6TH THROUGH SUNDAY SEPT 9TH-5PM FLIGHT HOME.....

1st day Thursday Sept 6th- SW flight went so smooth and we arrived MCO at10:15 am...Went straight to the ME desk and checked in and was directed straight too our line and on the bus!!!:thumbsup2 We had to drop off at SS,OKW & PFQ first, but it went pretty quick. We got to POR around 11:15 and headed straight too check in with no lines!

We were in the Acadian house room 8301. Great view of the greens and fountain. We were very close to the quiet pool and a short walk to the main area and restaurants. Very nice and relaxing feel to this resort.:) If I can figure out how too post pictures with in my report I will do so.

Our room was ready and so we dropped a few things off and headed to MK. We walked into MK before it was even 12:30 pm. There were definetly people milling around, but the lines for rides were practically none!:woohoo:

10 min wait for Space M. , but we grabbed a FP anyway... DD wanted to ride the astro orbitor and so we did. Walked on too Buzz and then used FP for SpM. We took our time and strolled the rose gardens and enjoyed how beautiful the castle grounds were. The weather was about 89-90 with a slight breeze. Not bad at all. No rain in sight!:goodvibes

We did the Teacups and Philharmagic and headed to POC. DD had her first magical moments of many to come on this short trip. She was picked to be in the POC show with Jack Sparrow!! The guy was so good. He had the voice and actions down too a T! After that DD was picked to be in Belle's storytime and played Maurice!! Then she got too square dance with the Characters in Frontierland..Mom did too!! Our trip was starting out so fun. We enjoyed a Dole whip float and people watched for a bit... I had an ADR for Ohana that I was not sure if we would use, but I was so glad that I did not cancel it!!!:thumbsup2 We really neede a break from the afternoon sun so we decided we would have dinner at the Poly and then head back that evening for Wishes.
So we jumped the Mono rail and headed to Ohana and checked in. We probably waited 15 minutes before being seated. I saw so many turned away or told it would be a 2 hour wait. Thank goodness for ADR's.
Dinner was good...Love the cheesy potatoes. The steak was a bit tough, but the pork and turkey made up for it. I ordered an Island Sunset drink since it was my Birthday weekend. YUM!
DD got in all the contests and the singing lady put about 10 leis around her neck...She just loves getting right in the middle of everything! Very outgoing kid!
After dinner we headed back too MK and it was now about 7:45. The park was really packed and I figured it would be since this was the one night they had SP & Wishes. NoJ had the parks closing early the next 2 nights. Still no lines for rides excpet Peter pan and I FP that one. We skipped spectro since we have seen it many times. We stood in the rose garden to watch Wishes and it was a great view and away from the hoards of people around the castle. We had a great view of Tink coming down the wire!:thumbsup2

After this we were so tired since we had been up since 4 am. So we headed down Maintstreet with a huge crowd, but it moved rather quickly. When I got too POR bus stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a lonnnnnggggg line!:scared1:
I started to get worried and then I saw them pulling up 2 busses at a time and the line moved very quickly. It was probably 10:20 when we got too the bus stop and we were back too POR and in our room before 11pm. I was impresssed.

Anyway it was a great first day and Mom's first trip to MK.

I will report more later.

Sounds like you had a great birthday trip!! Can't wait to read the reat of your TR. I enjoy reading your style of writing. Aren't short trips the best!!

:goodvibes

We were planning to go too AK today, but then decided that 3 parks in 3 days would be too much and so we took this day to relax and enjoy POR. We wanted too be rested up for my Birthday day at Epcot!:thumbsup2

We slept in and then went to breakfast and used a counter service credit. It was very good and we got so much too eat. Plus with Breakfast you get 2 drinks. So we had Iced tea and then grabbed a water for later. The fridge in our room stayed so cold that our water was slushy.

After breakfast DD wanted to play in the Arcade and she had another magical moment from a guest. He was leaving that day and had over 900 points left on his arcade card and gave it too DD.:cheer2: She was jumping up and down and cheering...It made her very happy...:cheer2:

After she played a while Mom and her went back to the room for a bit and I went too the Quiet pool at Magnolia bend? It was very nice and relaxing.:cloud9: After DD and Mom come down we went to Ole Man Island pool and we had a ball swiming and enjoyed the water slide.
After an hour there we took the boat to PFQ and checked out the pool there. DD loved the sea serpent slide. I really like the French Quarter area and so we may try that resort next time. While we were there a thunder storm popped up and so we took cover and I went to get us some Beneigts?? Probably spelled wrong?? I had read on the DIS that we have to try them. They were wonderful!!! After the rain passed we headed back to POR to get ready for dinner at DTD.:goodvibes

We took the boat to DTD around 4pm and had dinner at Wolfgang puck express using our counter service. It was wonderfuL!!! I had their new Asian salad and mom had foccia sandwich with bbq sauce and melted cheese and mushrooms ect...I can't remember the name. We shared it though. We then had creme brulee for dessert. yum!;)
We walked around DTD for a bit and then headed back to POR for our Carriage ride around the resort.
We had a big black percheron names Dave....Our Carriage ride was so relaxing and the resort grounds are so beautiful...We were so glad that we did this. It was worth the $35.:thumbsup2

Later that evening we headed back to DTD and went to the west side...Shopped and just enjoyed the atmosphere. I had a margarita from the Margarita bar and it was really good.

We headed back to POR around 10pm to get some sleep for our day at Epcot.

I am glad we skipped AK and had a day to just do whatever.....;)

We had a wake up call for 7 am and got up and ready and out too the bus stop by 7:50 to catch the bus to Epcot...It took about 15 minutes too pick us up..I was getting a bit worried, but we made it ok.:rolleyes1

We arrived at Epcot on Saturday morning around 8:20 and there were not too many people around at all. We went to Guest services and got my Birthday button and then headed in to have breakfast at Norway.princess:

It was a beautiful morning and Epcot looked so pretty..I love getting in the parks before opening.
We made our way too Norway Pavillion and checked in for our breakfast at 8:40. We were then seated in about 10 minutes. Our first Princess we got too meet and have pictures with was Belle and she looked beautiful. Then we sat down and had a really good breakfast. I love the cheesy potatoes hashbrowns so much. We were then visited by Jasmine, Aurora, Mullan and snow white. :bride: Our princess was thrilled and still wanted a picture with each. She is 9 now ,but still loved the interaction. This was Mom's first Princess character dining and I think she really enjoyed herself. She is not a big Character person and never wanted to go too Disney, but I think I have changed her mind. :yay:

After breakfast we went out side and Cinderella and Mary Poppins were waiting for pictures. I really wanted to see Ariel, but she is only at lunch.
Oh well maybe next time.:sad2:

We then headed back to FW and grabbed a FP for Soarin. It was almost 10 and the wait was 20 min. So we went too the new Nemo ride and walked right on. It was very cute. Then we walked around the living seas. The Dolphins were really showing off.
After that we rode Soarin and I just love it!! It is my favorite ride. The wait time just kept going up ....finally to 60 min by afternoon. Still the park was not all that crowded. We did universe of energy before heading to the WS. My favorite part of Epcot is the World Showcase.

We started with Mexico and rode the updated ride. I just love the atmosphere of San Angel Inn. I may have try it sometime even though it gets terrible reviews.:goodvibes Mom bought some silver rings in Mexico.

DD has gotten a passport so we had each country stamp it along the way and they each wrote something in each language. Something to take back to the teacher!!;) She loved doing the passport.

We made it too Norway, China and Italy before heading back to POR for a mid day break. It was getting pretty warm and we had a big evening ahead of us.

We headed back on the bus and 2 guests gave DD another Magical moment!:tinker:
They were pin collecters and both told her she could pick any pin she wanted from their lanyards. So she got a Belle for her and picked an Ariel one for me since it was my Birthday.princess: Then the bus driver called her over and gave her a rare Cinderella Cast member pin. Only 1 of 4 and so she was all excited over this.:yay: They made her day.

Oh and everyone is so wonderful when you are wearing the Birthday button. I must have been told Happy Birthday 100 times....

Ok....I will continue soon with our dinner at Le Cellier----WONDERFUL------

Michelle

We took a couple hour break at POR and while there an afternoon storm popped up with lots of thunder and lighting!!:scared1: Still we got ready, grabbed our ponchos and umbrella and headed back to Epcot around 4pm.

The rain was coming down pretty good by the time we got too Epcot, but we made our way in and too WS and then about 20 min later the rain stopped and it ended up being a glorius evening. The one plus is that the rain cooled the air down and it felt nice.:thumbsup2

Earlier in the day the face painting lady did a little sample on DD's face since she was going to swim and told us it was a contract to come back that evening for a full face painting..So we agreed, but when we got back the face painters had went home for the day since it had rained. I felt bad about that and wished I had given her something for the little flowers she did on DD's face.:confused3

So we made our way through France, China, Morroco ect..So that DD could have her passport stamped. That was really fun. Each country wrote something for her in their language. We had to get to Canada for my Birthday dinner at 5:40. So we made our way to Canada and I just think the Canada area is so beautiful. I was very excited to try Le Cellier! We checked in at the podium at exactly 5:40 and was seated within 2 minutes.
I put a review on the dining review boards.

We had the best server! He made our night. His name was Patrick and he was from Ontario and he was just as cute as a bug...:goodvibes He was a charmer and had my DD (9) blushing all evening. I had the Cheddar cheese soup and the pretzel bread. We all love the bread and the soup was so good. Mom and I each had a filet and it was wonderful and just melted in your mouth!! I had 1 glass of Chateau ste Michelle Riesling with dinner Since it had my name in it and I do love a Reisling.:goodvibes For dessert we had the creme' brulee and it was also wonderful. DD had pasta with no sauce and the make your own ice cream sundae. Then Patrick surprised me with a glass of Champagne with a strawberry in it for my Birthday. After we finished he brought an envelope too the table with an Ecpot Magical moment for us.:tink: It was our VIP Illuminations pass.:yay:

It was a perfect evening and I can think of no better way to have spent my Birthday unless DH and DF could have been there. Both were injured this Summer and so they could not go. Dad was thrown from one of the horses and fractured his skull and has a frontal lobe brain injury. He is doing great, but not up for WDW yet.:scared: DH had a piece of Re-bar go through his leg and he is healing, but could not walk around WDW either. So we left those two home too hang out for few days. They did just fine!:goodvibes

So after dinner we made our way to the countries we missed to make dinner and we watched impressions of France and really enjoyed it. Mom took a picture of Josie and I strolling the streets of Paris. Somehow I will post the pictures...:thumbsup2
We had to get back to China so DD could get her doll she had been looking at. It was a very pretty and big china doll for only $25. We could not believe it.
Then we hurried back toward Mexico too make it too the VIP viewing area just as you come out of FW to WS. It was perfect and not even very crowded. They dropped the rope and let us sit right up too the edge of the iron fence.:cheer2: We could see everything..I just cry when I see Illuminations. It is just so powerful.

After that we made our way back too the bus stop and again they had 2 busses at a time loading for POR so the line went quickly. This time we stopped at PFQ, but that was ok. We ended up getting off at POR main stop too get somthing to drink and they had an awesome piano player that was very entertaining with kids and adults. We watched a bit and then headed back to our room..

It was such a fun day!:goodvibes I love Epcot...

So sad our trip was coming to an end, but it was good while it lasted and we were not getting picked up by ME on Sunday till 2pm.

So tomorrow is check out and head to DTD for the morning....:thumbsup2
