My Magic+!?

So my family and I were just picked to do the My Magic+ testing in August, and the more we read into it the more we don't like it. You are only allowed 3 fast passes per day. The thing is we don't plan out that far ahead, the day in a park depending on crowds and such is how we know what fast passes to get. Also, what about park hopper? That reduces the number of fast passes and again how do you know what rides you want them for?

I don't know I really don't like it, I want to know anyone else's thoughts and if anyone had already tested it

I'm also concerned that in the future to get more fast passes you have to pay. At SeaWorld you have to pay for fast passes and that is ridiculous. This is just all to complicated.

I don't like it either! Personally we use way more than three FPs per day. Part of what makes Disneys FP system so good is that aside from the time limits, you can get as many as you can and it's free! I can't plan my days months in advance. Also I am so confused on how park hopper is going to work.. I feel like Disneys just trying to match other places with the whole MyMagic thing but no one really wants/needs it. Nothing is wrong (as far as I know) with the current FP system!!

I think even as a tester you can still use regular Fastpasses. Fastpass as we know it will probably go away in the future, so enjoy using both :) I am a little worried but becoming optimistic.

We called and were told we were not allowed to use the regular fast passes, if we just use the my magic bands our actual park tickets we already have may not be active in the parks. Although other people have said that they got to use both, so I guess we'll just wait and see.

Oh yikes. I wish you luck.

I think my family will be testing that too. I'm scared now. :worried:

That sounds kinda... just... wow, Disney. Just wow. :sad2: I'll ask my mom about it and maybe get more info on it, she's my Disney insider info person :D

Got my My Magic bands today. They are all high techy. The packaging was really adorable though.

I can't post pictures I take, I plan to get something to do that soon, but I found this picture of them:

I got the yellow.

I have recieved my MyMagic bands today! It was super fast! My mom sent me an email that they were shipped and I looked out my door just in case and they were there.:cool1:

The bands are adorable! But I do not like the whole fastpass idea. Why would you want to plan exactly what you are riding months before your trip?

You can also take the gray edge off to make it smaller. Exactly I don't understand the planning ahead. I'm not sure if you can pick out the fast passes during your stay, but my family and I aren't picking out any fast passes now, so we'll see. You don't know what you'll want to ride or how the lines are!

I don't really like this whole system... however I think the bands are ADORABLE and I love that your name is inscribed on it! But I'm not sure I would always want to wear it/keep track of it...

I actually don't think you have to wear it all the time. People on other threads say they are going to attach it to their backpacks. I also read that testers in August are supposed to get a regular ticket or something like that also, so you'll have something else if the tester doesn't work. Also I don't believe these are water proof for some reason even when they have water rides, so I'd take it off for splash mountain or something.

I just got an e-mail from "Disney Meetings" telling me to click on a link if I want to participate in the test...but we already have our magic bands, and have scheduled our FP's...anyone else get this e-mail? I can't decide if it's something that we need to do, a case of the left hand not knowing what the right is doing, and just duplication, or if it's some elaborate phishing thing...it LOOKS legit...
