My little guy hurt himself earlier...Can I get a hug??

I hope your little guy is feeling better today. My daughter is 22 months and so we've seen our share of accidents too. She currently has a bruise over her left eye and center of her forehead from slamming her head into the edge of the car door last week. I think it's always worse on us cause they forget pretty fast, but we see the bruise and remember.

Hugs to both of you! I have a 3 year old little girl and she is constantly knocking into things..with us right there.

About the black eyes, DD took a header (that is our code word for the head bumps) into a bedframe before the holidays and got the biggest bump, huge actually called the Dr....everything was fine (thank goodness) but the whole thing gets real bad before it gets better, and the black eyes really happen (it terrified us we were not warned)

So I just wanted to warn you a bit more on that part.

Thank you for all the wonderful thoughts and stories! I never went through this with DD. She didn't start walking until 15 months, but when she did, she was doing it perfectly.

Anyway, DS is doing much better today. He slept through the night with no problems (I was the one who got no sleep. Kept going in to his room to make sure he was okay.). This morning, there is a huge egg on his forehead, with a red line/deep scratch down the middle. Not much bruising (yet). No black eyes, thankfully.

But, reading another poster's comments made me remember that Wednesday is picture day. Oh well, it's certainly a memory (and representative of his "toddler" years), right?

Thanks for helping me through last night! :flower3:

Little Miss Ava had her picture day a week after the incident (still a little dis-colored under the eye and a mark in the middle of the forehead)

I wish I had it scanned to show you..they still look adorable!

She goes to preschool (and the teacher is well aware Ava is a KLUTZ) told DH, she had that bump when she came in this morning. (we all play were did Ava get that from) My child is not graceful, poor baby.
