Holy cow! I thought I was good but this is even better. Just out of curiosity, how much did you have in coupons?

Wish there was an Aldi's by me.

Aldi's doesn't take coupons.

We LOVE Aldi's. We've noticed they're always adding new products too. We always start our monthly shopping trip there. Between that and BJs we basically have 90% of our shopping done (basically some produce and meats are all we need).

As I posted earlier, I love Aldi! I just had to go to WalMart. I hate the place and usually don't shop there. I needed to buy movies for Easter baskets and shampoo and conditon for the girls and a few things Aldi doesn't have.

While I was there I looked at the prices and WalMart was higher in price on everything I looked at. Example, dozen eggs: Walmart 1.58/Aldi 1.19.

Walmart may have more, but they are higher in my area on food.

That's even a bigger WOW then. I really hope they put one in near me. I wonder how they can keep their prices down so much?

They tend to be smaller stores with only one brand (usually their house brand) for each kind of item, and not a lot of different varieties. For example, they might have canned peas, but not canned peas and carrots. You need to put a quarter in to the cart if you want to use one (you get your quarter returned when you return the cart to the cart corral). They do not supply bags for groceries, so you either bring your own, buy theirs, or pick up empty boxes from displays in the store.

I usually shop there for basic items like sugar, flour, etc. when I'm near one.

Milk was $1.79 today. I bought 8 gallons.
