This is a copy of the letter I just sent off to WDW's Guest Communications. By the way sorry if I went on too long! :p

Dear Walt Disney World Resort:
I am writing regarding my stay in August 2004. I stayed at the new resort, Pop Century from August 11th through 13th to celebrate my 20th birthday. My stay at this resort was excellent despite the weather conditions of Hurricane Charley. The staff was very attentive including mousekeeping. When I returned from a wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom on August 12th my room was filled with a balloon bouquet and a personalized birthday card and picture from Minnie Mouse. This surprise immediately put a smile on my face, as well as a bounce in my step for the rest of my stay!
I would like to commend numerous cast members that I think deserve a pat on their back for their friendliness they have shown me during my trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” These are the names of the cast members along with their actions that spread pixie dust on my visit in August:
•Lulu (Grand Floridian’s 1900 Park Fare on 8/12/04) was my waitress during my birthday breakfast, she was very attentive, sang “Happy Birthday” to me, and brought me a birthday tiara and cupcake. The only disappointment I had during that meal was that I didn’t have enough time to meet the Mad Hatter.
•Matthew (Magic Kingdom’s City Hall/ Keys to the Kingdom Tour Guide on 8/12/04) was very informative and friendly during my Keys to the Kingdom tour. Since I was solo on this tour he was an excellent companion. I learned quite a bit during this tour, though I’m an avid Disney fan it was hard to find new information. I also received two Fast Passes and a birthday button from Matthew.
•Brick (Magic Kingdom’s City Hall/Assistant Tour Guide on 8/12/04) was very helpful and friendly. He did a great job taking everyone’s order for the lunch break at the Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square.
•Gary J. (Contemporary Resort’s Chef Mickey’s on 8/13/04) was very helpful waiter during my second breakfast in which I also celebrated my birthday. He helped by taking photos of me with the characters, sang “Happy Birthday”, and gave me a birthday cupcake.
Due to Hurricane Charley I was unable to return home on August 13th, I booked a room with a friend and her children at the All-Star Music Resort. The service there was also great. I continued my theme park experiences on August 14th, here are the names of the cast members that showed a great enthusiasm despite Charley’s damage to many of their homes:
•Tracy (Magic Kingdom’s Exposition Hall) was very patient when I needed to exchange a damaged trading pin bag (which I had bought at Downtown Disney on 8/11/04) because I had about fifty or more pins that I needed to take out.
•Philip (Magic Kingdom’s Exposition Hall) was a great help when I needed pictures taken with the characters. He also had everybody in the store sing “Happy Birthday” to me.
•Kristy (Magic Kingdom’s Tinker Bell’s Treasures) was nice enough to ask me if I had got a call from Goofy during my visit, I had not. To my surprise Goofy sang me “Happy Birthday” over the phone!
•Janica (Magic Kingdom’s Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride) let me ride the ride twice without having to get up. Even though it was the end to a busy night I am extreme thankful for the generous ride.
There were also a number of cast members’ names I forgot to write down that deserve the same recognition. From the female cast member that checked me in at the Pop Century, a friendly female cast member that I came across on August 12th on my way from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland that said “Happy Birthday” and gave me a free Mrs. Potts pin, and the male cast member that gave an extra room key at the Pop Century (since I locked myself out). On August 14th I came across a great female cast member who just happened to be spending her birthday working at Epcot’s Art of Disney which made my experience at that store even more memorable! All the times I got to ride in front on the monorails (which was about three or four times) the monorail pilots were excellent!
Before my birthday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, I made business cards with a thank you message in this letter I have included an example. I made twenty-four cards and ended up passing out about twenty cards. I find that the service at this resort to be beyond words. From the moment I drove onto the property I felt like I was being sprinkled with pixie dust. Walt Disney World is truly “Where the Magic Lives!”

WDW just called me this past Saturday, October 30th. Very happy they liked the letter. I'm going to call back tomorrow to thank them.

Tink
