Hello,
Today me (surfcruiser) and my son (cruecrazy) attempted to play the Haunted Mansion maze. After waiting behind 150 other players we got in (me on one computer and him on another). Then we waited to get into the "easy" teleport teacup. After two people skipped in front of us, we finally stepped into the teacup. We were teleported to...
The doorway entrance to another mansion room, trapped behind a bunch of jack-o-lanterns. The teleport cup we entered was the only one in the previous room. This is easy?
We went back to the start to find out that there were over 500 people waiting to get into the Haunted Mansion.
This IS ridiculous. We waited over seven hours today for the online "magic" of Disney to open up to play this supposedly excited event. Then we waited another 30 minutes to get into the room, now we're going to have to wait over 2 to 3 hours to get in provided we don't crash or lose connection, that is if you can keep the server running.
Today, we received our WDW planning dvd kit. I didn't see a section in there on what to do if a park closes for 7 hours and then the rides are a 500 person wait.
Bad job guys. As a long time fan of Disney and someone who has spent enough at WDW to send a kid to college, I am extremely disappointed. If you plan an event, set a date, and then advertise for it, you best be ready to handle the crowds, the anticipation, and above all, just make sure the thing works before you open the gates.
Sincerely,
xxx xxxxxx

Next trip to WDW was planned for September 2006, but we might just go to an all-inclusive in the Caribbean, haven't made up our minds, or made a deposit on either.
