Hello,

Today me (surfcruiser) and my son (cruecrazy) attempted to play the Haunted Mansion maze. After waiting behind 150 other players we got in (me on one computer and him on another). Then we waited to get into the "easy" teleport teacup. After two people skipped in front of us, we finally stepped into the teacup. We were teleported to...

The doorway entrance to another mansion room, trapped behind a bunch of jack-o-lanterns. The teleport cup we entered was the only one in the previous room. This is easy?

We went back to the start to find out that there were over 500 people waiting to get into the Haunted Mansion.

This IS ridiculous. We waited over seven hours today for the online "magic" of Disney to open up to play this supposedly excited event. Then we waited another 30 minutes to get into the room, now we're going to have to wait over 2 to 3 hours to get in provided we don't crash or lose connection, that is if you can keep the server running.

Today, we received our WDW planning dvd kit. I didn't see a section in there on what to do if a park closes for 7 hours and then the rides are a 500 person wait.

Bad job guys. As a long time fan of Disney and someone who has spent enough at WDW to send a kid to college, I am extremely disappointed. If you plan an event, set a date, and then advertise for it, you best be ready to handle the crowds, the anticipation, and above all, just make sure the thing works before you open the gates.

Sincerely,

xxx xxxxxx

Next trip to WDW was planned for September 2006, but we might just go to an all-inclusive in the Caribbean, haven't made up our minds, or made a deposit on either.

Some people have to wait behind 600 people! Now that's not a A-MAZEING me very much! You go sufferat!

Well said. I feel exactly the same way. I wish I wasn't feeling this way right now, but Disney/VMK really dropped the ball on this one, big time.

Let us know if you get a response.

Actually, I think I will go send my own letter now. Thanks for the idea.

VERY nice letter! LOL Maybe we should ask to go to VE, Virtual Epcot??

YES! Did that a few years back in the Turks and Caicos Islands at Beaches Resort. Talk about a pampering... wow. From the Mimosas on the plane to the ultra clean dive boat to the farewell party. And cheaper than a week at a moderate with tickets and meals for four.

Go figure.

I mean we did one HUGE trip in our lifetime (my family) where we already had Premium Annual Passes from the previous week long trip a year before. So we splurged and spent a week in POR and the second week in Polynesian Concierge Hawaii building with the PAP discount. And we still spent more money than we would have flying to the REAL South Pacific for a week.

:rolleyes2

I know, it's sad. Heck, if you do things right, you can go on a week cruise for under $500 person, including port taxes! Be sure to check out the DIS budget board and the Theme Park Strategy boards for getting the most of your money at Disney if that's where you choose to go. And that better be where you choose to go! Starwarskid and I would love to meet you, the better half and cruecrazy!
