My landscaper almost jumped out of his skin...

One of the guys from our development's landscaping company almost jumped out of his skin today. In the past week they've managed to cut my garden hose. Other times I go outside and the hose is disconnected and water is slightly dripping from the faucet. So today I surprised him! I was in the house and heard the water running outside. I "quietly" went out and closed the door. There he was rinsing off with the hose through the cut they put there! I just stood there watching him. When he turned around and saw me, he quietly said...Oh my gosh!! LOL! He wasn't expecting me to be home in the middle of the day. You would think they would carry large containers of water on their truck. I hope he learned a lesson. And I do have plans to get them to either fix or replace that hose.

I think you should have rinsed him off with the host.......on full force of course!

Doesn't that annoy you!! When they were building the house next to us the painters would come over to get water from our spiket in the middle of the day too. It was spring and DH hadn't turned the water back on yet SURPRISE

I asked him if it's just my water they use or everyone in the neighborhood. He insists they use everyone's water! I think I'll be looking for the owner of the company shortly.

Our condo associations landscapers are always using our house for drinks.... No one else has an OUTSIDE hose. We installed it for my flowerbed. Everyone else has a hose accessable from the garage.

Anyway, I don't mind them using it, but they always leave it ON!

I don't get how they built these houses. This is only one thing about them I find strange. Being it's a one-floor home, I would think I would be able to turn off all water to the house somewhere IN THE GARAGE. No, the only way to cut it off to the entire house is to turn off a blue knob which is outside where the spiket is. Gee, doesn't that defeat the purpose? Anyone can (and has) turned it on while we're on vacation.

It's fun to scare people like that. When we first moved into our house, there wasn't a house on the lot next to us yet. So the landscapers for the house next door were there well after we moved in. One Saturday morning I heard someone at the hose under the kitchen window. I guess they thought we weren't home since we keep our cars in the garage. So I went to the window and waited for him to stand back up and just looked at him. I've never seen anyone run away so fast.
