My lab is not talking to me...

Finished a wonderful Easter dinner. I wandered out back and slipped him a couple small pieces of Virgina Ham He of course really enjoyed that I figured I would give him another taste of something we had so I went out and gave him a piece of asparagus. He grabbed it up, gave it a few chews and spit it out The look he gave me with those brown eyes and non-tail wagging was chilling Oh well trying to give him a little sample of our dinner

OH MY! You have actually discovered something that a lab will not eat. I didn't think it was possible!!!

Denny (my black lab/husky mix) was fed his regular dinner, then had some of our leftovers also. He loved everything (ham, yams, mashed potatos, etc.), and was begging for more. The only thing he doesn't like is popcorn. Hmmm!

I would check my side of the bed very carefully tonight before climbing in, Patrick....... maybe your dog is still holding a grudge and might decide to leave you a little present.......

(My cat did this to me ON my pillow when we brought our newborn daughter home from the hospital! )

My lab only has two looks -
1. I love you sooooooooo much, please rub my stomach, head, ears for another 2 hours.

and

2. My eyes are bloodshot and rolled in the back of my head - I need 12 hours of sleep in the middle of your bed now.

oh ya I almost forgot that -

3. Whaaat? - I'm sniffing you and you were near ANOTHER dog??? How dare you!!

I've yet to find a food he won't eat, even tried a strawberry today. I don't think he even tastes it on the way down.

Hey! My lab will trade your lab his asparagus for his oranges and strawberries. My lab hates those! He loves asparagus though! Oh! And no jello! He's scared to death of jello! I have no idea what he thinks it's going to do to him!
