:eek:Hello!
My name is Kerri, I am a fellow Disney Freak!
We like to go to Disney every 2 years, realistically we can afford to go every 3 years. Our last trip was September 17th 2013, and it was a total surprise for the kids!! Here is the video link of the reveal!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyMX4aUaf68

Quick background for our last trip: My kids (boys at the time age 10 and 4) thought I was going to Las Vegas to visit a friend. The day I was supposed to go my parents drove me to the airport, I told the kids to come in with my parents while I checked my luggage. My husband got a ride from a friend and was waiting there for me already.
When my parents and the boys come in and up the escalator, we are standing there with a sign. They were floored!! My oldest was speechless  for almost the entire plan ride from Rochester to Orlando. (He is NEVER lost for words)
Anyways, that was a one time event!! I can never hold a secret like that again!!

A few weeks ago the boys started talking Disney. Then they started watching Disney YouTube videos. They really got me in the Disney mood!!
This weekend I notice that the packages have been release for next year, this lead me to actually booking our next trip!!:cool1:
We are officially booked for October 15 2015. Since I know I am on a Disney nut website you all can appreciate my trip being 420 days away!
Things are a long way out but it is never to early to plan. :thumbsup2 (and save money for it)
Welcome aboard:)

I made my reservations for October 2015 the 1st-11th, this already seems too short!
Our family has difficulty making new choices, last time we broke away from POP and tried CBR, now the kids and my DH don't want to try anywhere but CBR!!
Both boys are trying their hand at planning the trip.
They have watched me pour over every day planning which park we will be at an balancing dining plans to match. They are making lists and picking their favorite choices to dine. (It is all an illusion as mom has all final planning veto!) :rotfl2:

It is a wonderful thing seeing the boys get excited about the planning like I do.
My next step is looking for airfare when it is released, I have plenty of time!:rotfl2:
What is your favorite part of planning the trip?

I have to be honest, I LOVE reading your trip reports. I find myself getting caught up in pages and pages of your plans.
I find it frustrating how little participation I get in mine :guilt
Even if no one is reading I guess I plug along.

We got mickey mail yesterday!! Yippie!! SO exciting even when so far away!

You have such a cute family! I can't wait to see all the stuff you guys plan together. We are planning a trip of our own for 2015; there is a link to my PTR in my signature if you'd like to follow along!

Thanks! I visited your report as well! Can't wait to hear all about it!

When we plan a trip as a family, we each have our must have places to eat. My kids have already picked their favs, which do not change year to year!!

This next trip is no exception. I feel like we hardly branch out from our "usual" because no one wants to give up their favorite! Which is okay because we all get what we want.
This next trip this is what is likely to be our pics. I have a few I am worried about getting because they are tough ADR's to get, finger crossed!!

1. We ALWAYS start the trip with Hoop De Doo! Two boys love this humor! :lmao:

My little guy Craig's picks

Chef Mickey
Cinderella's Royal table (he just really wants to eat in the castle, new pick for him)

My oldest's picks

Coral Reef (my DH and I were NOT impressed last time but have enjoyed all other meals here)

Sci Fi (another new pic this year)

My Husbands picks

Liberty Tree
Rose and Crown (this is a new one, fingers crossed we can land a 8pm ADR)

My Picks

O'hana (I am the only one who likes this one)

Be our Guest (new for all of us)

For all of us Crystal Palace for Breakfast!!

What do you think so far?;)

Sounds like some fun eating! I LOVE that your son wants to eat in the castle; my DBF was a princess fan as a child cause he liked the pretty girls :rotfl:

'Ohana is on my own wish list; looks SO good and from what I understand they have a conga line type of thing for the kids during dinner. I have also heard that it is a great spot to watch the MK fireworks! pixiedust:

I LOVE it there! It can be a bit loud with the conga line. The peanut sauce is to die for! I could dip anything in there and eat it. Worms, bus.....:rotfl2:
Last time my older son started to warm up a little to the food! Unlimited steak, shrimp, chicken, he was all about that!! :cool1:
Once we ate there with my parents, it was difficult to have a decent conversation because it was SO loud. Last year we were seated a little further away from the fuss, it was much easier to chat.

As far as I'm concerned, it's never too early to get excited. :thumbsup2

Never too early to plan. That is a big part of the fun. My DH is even a convert to enjoying planning. We too are planning a 2015 visit after our first (and only:lmao:) visit in 2013.

The last pick of your boys reminded me of our favorite ride....the bus. Seemed that we were always on a bus. Mostly good times heading off to some fun.

Congrats on booking your next trip and thanks for sharing the surprise video.

My countdown was depressing to look at in the 400's, so I changed it to the ADR date:rotfl2: 222 days!

I am hoping because our trip will be 10 days, when I book the ADR's I can get some of the difficult ones at the end.
I am worried about :
Rose N Crown for 8pm to watch illuminations
Be Our guest
Ohana (mild)
CRT (again mild)

The rest should not be a problem

SO 222 days to obsess about them! But it is all part of the fun!:cool1:

LOL! I did the same thing on my countdown yesterday :lmao:

I got sick of seeing almost 400 days, especially since DD is now over due :scared1:

So I changed the date to my ADR date: 203 days to go :dance3:

Just makes it feel so much more real!!

Love the idea of a TR so far out! I normally plan my trips a year or more in advance. I always think I'm insane for making myself wait so long but I love having something to look forward too!

I love the idea of surprising your kids, and love the way you did it! Best one yet I think!

400 days will FLY by I'm sure!

I'll be following along to watch how the planning goes!

Thanks! Welcome.
My oldest was truly speechless that day. After the reveal we went through security and had lunch, he could not even form words to order his lunch!! It did not take them long to settle into Disney mood after that!

My youngest has always loved the Mickey busses! When he was 16 months old for his first trip, he called them "Icky usses" and carried a toy Mickey Bus everywhere!!

Wow, we have a similar countdown! Fingers crossed for free dining! :hyper:

Your boys are so handsome!!! I wish I could keep a secret that long. Christmas is the only time I can manage to keep quiet!! I'll be following along!

Thanks!! It was hard but worth it. NOT doing it again, it would never fly again!
