My kids holiday concerts

I've been busy with 3 holiday concerts in 24 hours..Many will be happy to know that MANY Christmas songs were sung Including SIlent Night and Hark the Herald Angels Sing among other religious songs..

I get all weepy when I hear kids sing Silent Night. It's not even one of my favorite Christmas Songs...but hearing little voices sing it...just does it to me every time!

My daughters program was yesterday and they sang lots of Christmas and Santa songs, nothing very religious though. They all had a great time and they all (especially mine ) looked adorable.

My dd's Holiday Concert was last night too. They sang alot of Christmas songs, and the jazz band did some songs too. It was a nice night for the kids and their families.

My husband is a professional singer so we go to some (but not all) of his stuff. Monday night was the middle school voice recital. Tuesday night was the middle school choir concert. Last night was the high school choir concert. Next Monday is the high school voice recital. At least all my kids have dropped piano lessons!!!

We got to three out of four concerts this week, but the fourth was cancelled because of the ice last night. I hope they'll reschedule!

Actually the timing was good anyway, because I was really too sick to go last night.

I will say that the highlight of the concert season was hearing the men of all the high school choirs singning "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Fabulous sound, esp. for a bunch of high school boys. I think I'll spend $10 on the concert CD, just for that!
