My kids have forbidden me to speak of our Disney Trip..updated 5/17

So I was looking around on travelocity Monday night and as luck, karma, fate, or wishes would have it the hotel I wanted to stay at this past July and in May slashed their prices. I wanted to stay at Holiday Inn Sunspree. It was $99 when I last looked and back in July it would have been $120 a night with 5 people in a kids suite. So I booked Best Western Lakeside. It was a good hotel in July and was only $55 a night. I booked it again for May. So I looked online and advance purchase is $54.88. So I booked it! The only bad thing is it is non refundable. I am so excited because now the only thing I need to save money for is souvenirs, food, and the beach hotel in Jacksonville which is only $200. It feels great to have both Disney and Universal paid for.

Now for the possible side trip. My son has decided he wants to see the dolphins at Sea World. It will be a little over $200 for the tickets. I still am deciding on that trip. Any advice on Sea World? Maybe it would help for me to decide. Only 71 more days til Disney   :dance3: :cheer2:

Check out my trip report for our visit to seaworld. If you go to the first page there is a link of chapters which should take you right to it.

There is aquatic viewing at Epcot. My kids enjoyed the viewing tanks there just as much as seaworld. If you look into you will find that the manatee trainers give talks and so do some of the other trainers. Perhaps that will be enought to satisfy him.

As far as seaworld goes, just to see the dolphins for a family of 5 is going to be expensive. We used our airmiles to redeem tickets and I found some codes on the disboards to cut down on our expenses. I found the food really expensive at Seaworld but then I was on the dinning plan at Disney so didn't really worry about the food costs so much.

Congrats on the savings with your hotel. One of the perks of the economic downturn I guess.:rolleyes1

Thanks for the advice. I am going to read you TR to see. It was 5 last summer since my cousin and her daughter went. This year its me and my 2 kids only. Can't deal with the extended family again :lmao:

Now, remember what I said!!!! Our work sells discount tickets to SeaWorld!

Iwas going to say the same thing about Epcot's Dolphins ! We wentto seaworld in 2007 and it wa nice but if we had known about Epcot 's Dolphins we prolly wouldn't have gone !!!

I always listen to you oh dear Disney Tutor :worship: :lmao: The work website is where I got the $200 price tag from. I love working for the state :) I think I want to go now too after looking at the pics on here. I am glad to see you are still reading my report after having to listen to me babble about the trip all day :rotfl:

Ok I have been so obsessed with getting my ADR at Le Cellier that I have not really reseached what I can do at Epcot. I did not know that they had dolphins. Thanks for your input!

 for getting the hotel you really wanted at a great price.

I have looked at going to SeaWorld too, it looks like so much fun. :)
You should take advantage of a deal with work if you can get it.

hlrababy could never get tired of talking about Disney, she is obsessed like me. :rotfl2: We live for talking about WDW.

I was thinking of you today, I was craving a pecan log and said "I could get one at Cracker Barrel". Then you came to mind. Did you ever think you would be synonomous with Cracker Barrel. :lmao:

I'll get one in a few weeks when we go to the States for a shopping b-day trip for my kids. My son loves the Cracker Barrel bacon??? He orders it for dessert. :rotfl2:

awwww I love our bacon and pecan logs too! But the best thing is the sawmill gravy :)

I am so excited that the trip is almost here. I read my PTR from the beginning last night and saw where it I said I had 154 days to go. Wow time sure does fly.

I got blisters from walking from Toontown to Adventureland in 10 mins. The lady in the judges tent called for me to see when Jasmine and Aladdin would be out. I had 20 mins to get there and boy did my feet hurt! I was so happy to get the pics :cloud9:

OK that's it. I refuse to watch a new season of any new show ever again. I just read that they have cancelled the one show I love from this season and pretty much my favorite show. April 1 is Life on Mars' last show. Oh well thank God I am a reality tv junkie :rotfl:

OK it is a couple hours later and I am calmed down now :)

Well here I am on my mom's laptop. I had my tea beside my laptop and it got spilled into the keyboard. I am actually calm about the whole situation. I am trying to decide if I need to run out and buy another one with the money that I have saved for Disney. I found one on Bestbuy.com for less than $500.
I really don't want to use the money but I need my Internet :surfweb: Thank goodness that I had emailed my trip plans that were saved so far to my email address. I swear I think I am psychic sometimes :scared1: :lmao:

Sorry to hear about the spill, I would be freaked out if that happened to me. :scared1:

I love to spend my free time on the internet / DIS. :surfweb:

Maybe you should get a new laptop and then try to save the money again before you go. :thumbsup2

Tough call....you can never have enough Disney dollars.

I still have 9 weeks before I go to WDW. I can save up the $500 and then some. I am looking at my ADR's right now and seeing which ones I do not have to have. I am so glad that I have already paid for the hotels and the tickets. At least I don't have to worry about that. Thanks for the advice :)

Go to ebay and look at laptops on there!! Also, can your mom just let you use hers for a while? You know we got internet at work!!!! ;)
