My kids have forbidden me to speak of our Disney Trip..updated 5/17

I thought I found another person awake but you have gone to sleep I suspect. ;)

Your plans look great. You can never have too much MK.

I read that they got rid of the Cheesecake Factory in DTD so I'm glad there's another location you can go to.

So you are staying off property? I know you can't stay at a Disney resort for that $$$. :)

I am still staying at Pop Century for my Disney portion of the trip. The other hotel is for my Universal and son's many college visits part of the trip. It is going to be too busy to be a vacation lol.

Ok so I was looking on the hotel sites comparing costs to my offsite hotel for my 2nd leg of my "vacation" and I thought I found a great hotel with the Ramada Inn maingate but I did not see where they had free internet or a fridge in the room. So everytime I compare I keep going back to the Best Western Lakeside that we stayed at last year. It is a great hotel with 3 pools, a mini golf course, free wifi in my room, and a fridge in the room. All this for $55 a night plus a 3.50 resort fee so it ends up with taxes and fees to be about $65 a night. I guess i need to quit :surfweb: and just book it :lmao: . So I am going to take a day after Disney to shop :rotfl: I want to go to the Mall of Florida, the outlet malls, and my daughter wants another trip to the Ron Jon Surf Shop. Only this time I am not driving to Cocoa Beach when there is one in Orlando. Any other ideas of where I can shop :dance3: I am going to continue to plan the other leg while I do :laundy: before I am off to the very very busy Cracker Barrel. I think everyone in my town went to the Barrel Friday and Saturday :rotfl2:

Ok I called Disney to see what about a dining plan and decided to look up the menu's to the places I want to eat and see if I can get our meals under the$839 they wanted me to pay. Let's see if I can do it :goodvibes. I will put the changes in bold letters

Now after all my calculations I will be saving $300 if I pay out of pocket. I am not the type that wants to spend all the money on food. Even more so when we will be staying in Orlando and Jacksonville after Disney. I Love food but I can buy more stuff if I save $300 :woohoo: :yay:. Ok my back is killing me from all this work :surfweb: I am sure I will change plans a few more times but for now it is just better for my budget to not get the dining plan.

It is 154 days til our trip :yay: I can't believe time is flying like this. I have so much work to do and I am not doing it yet. I need to plan because when we were there in july I think we rode about 5 rides.

Here was our day at Disney
1. laugh factory
2. COP
3. Buzz lightyear
4. indy cars
5. jungle cruise
6. POTC
7. Minnie's house
8. met Jasmine and Aladin
9. Tea cups
10. Barnstormer--kids only rode this
11. got fastpasses for Splash Mountain that I still have :rotfl:
12. met sleeping beauty, belle, and cinderella

So this is why i need a do over. I WILL NOT TAKE SOMEONE ELSE WITH US TO DECIDE WHERE WE ARE GOING!!! I want to see and do everything at my pace. I am getting a passporter planning guide in the mail this week. DS said "omg mom that's enough". Pretty bad when a kid tells you to stop buying things

I understand I am dreading going with friends in September as that's what I see happening ,she is going to slow us down and want to eat where she wants ! I told DD we are planning what we want to do and I will help her with her planning and if the paths don't cross Oh well!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I just ordered the Pasporter's guidebook the other day online, I can't seem to find it in my bookstore this year. Don't feel bad I got another guidebook for Xmas, that makes three. ;)

My kids always say "OMG Mom" about everything, I'm just not that cool I guess...:rotfl:

Travelling with others can be a challenge, that's why I don't do it. :rotfl2: My DS is enough of a 'grumpy guss' for one vacation.

Glad you will get the trip YOU want this time. Keep up the planning. :thumbsup2

I am going to move you over to the pre-trip boards.
Let me know when you return and you can either start a thread on the regular board, or I can move this one over.

I'm sure you will meet other's that are going to May.

Happy planning.

p.s. I also have the Passporter and I found out I need glasses. The font in the PassPorter must be like a 8.

Yea and I almost messed up and invited my other cousin who I do not get along with. She has the sweetest 2 year old and I was asking her if she wanted to go. I came to my senses and told my cousin I would not be able to ride any of the bigger rides. That was a close one :lmao:

I got a gift card for Barnes and Noble for Christmas from my sister and the first place I went online was Disney books lol. I didn't buy any though (this time!). I told my daughter the other night that we had to look up something and she asked if it had to do with Disney and when I told her yes she said "I'm going to bed" :rotfl2: This is the reason for the name change of the topic :)

Ok I did it. Against the advice of my Disney tutor/co-worker, I added the Dining plan. It is the one with the 1 TS, 1 CS, and 1 snack. So since I am paying 839 bucks for it I am going to go to some great places and save the 30% the CM told me about. Here is the new places I hope go get ADR's at. I know I may have to move some days around if I need to for the ADR. Changes are in bold letters.

Hopefully I will not change again but then again I have changed three times this month :rotfl2:

Tell them ungreatful things that they can stay home and then you will go by yourself!!! lol! Im just saying....

Hey! I missed your post. My son is getting better since he saw those pics of the Whispering Canyon Cafe. He was never to into the 50's PTC so I changed when we saw those pics. They are too into the new playstation 2 that my son got for Christmas to even help plan anything else now. :rotfl:

Ok so I have finally done something else for the vacation besides obsess over these dining ADR's. I have made reservations at the other two hotels that we will be staying at this trip. :woohoo:

The first one is in Orlando still. It is the one we stayed at last year and we liked it. It the the Best Western Lakeside. This is so we can go to Universal and Wet and Wild. I also want to spend time shopping :yay:

The second one is in our old hometown of Jacksonville. It will be right on the beach :yay: :dance3: . We also stayed at this one last year. It is called the Comfort Inn Oceanfront. I love this place. The pool has water falls and again it is right on the beach. Plus it has FREE breakfast :worship:. I may have to change the room since my son will spend every moment at his best friends house like last year.

I still have about 10 things on my to do list for December. But at least I have a place to lay our heads at night :rotfl2:

You are doing well with your adrs !! This waiting for the 90 day window has given me toomuch time to redo everything !!:rotfl2:

That is my problem lol. I am really really wanting some of that cheese soup at Le Cellier that I am willing to rearrange my whole schedule for that ADR. I have back up ADR's just in case. Man I don't think I will make it until the end of Feb. when I can make these ADR's.

Your ADR's look alot like our choices. :thumbsup2 for getting the dining plan. I recommend it highly.

This year we will be going to Chef Mickey's, O'hana, Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon, 1900 Park Fare, Le Cellier, Boma and maybe Sci-Fi or at the Japan pavillion. We will also go to T-Rex & Rainforest Cafe.

Last year we went to Coral Reef, O'hana bkfst & dinner, Chef Mickey's and Sci-Fi.

Just ignore your kids, mine constantly make fun of me too, for over planning and discussing everything to death. :rotfl2: Sometimes they ask me if I can talk about anything else but Disney. :lmao:

Mine just ignore me or at best humor me !!They think planning starts a few days before the trip !! They are clueless as what a lot of work plnning is although they agree I do a great job!!They all humored me and watched the DVD for 2009!!

I have went over and over the dining plan until I finally "let" the CM talk me into it. I am sure the kids will be fine once it gets closer. I am starting to look foward to the resturants after looking at these pics on the food porn thead :rotfl2:

I had to close my kids up in the car to watch the DVD :rotfl: . But oh well they will enjoy the trip. If not I will leave them home with grandma.
