My kids have forbidden me to speak of our Disney Trip..updated 5/17

I had my kids and Dh (the biggest whiner of all) sign a contract before we went. It was basically to get them to promise to follow the plan and stop the whinning.

Hi all. I am now at the Holiday Inn Sunspree about 6 miles from Disney property. I miss Disney already. They have the must do's with Stacy on our TV channels and I keep going back to that channel. It is our day off. I was so exhausted that I slept until noon. I tried to sleep longer but my son wouldn't have it I will talk to everyone later when I start my TR.

OMG I have had the worst day of my life at a hotel. We are staying at a Holiday Inn for our US/IOA. I called last night to the front desk to inquire about a shuttle to the parks so I could save $12 a day. I was informed to come down to the desk at 8:50 am and there would be one. I was there at the scheduled time and the timeshare people were the one's that provided the and they kept asking me questions and made us miss the shuttle. So the hotel put us in a cab and paid for it and off we went and had a great day at IOA. We were told to be in spot 22 for pick up at 7:00 pm. We go down there at 6:10 to make sure we are there on time. Well 7 comes and no shuttle. 7:15 comes and no shuttle. I call the hotel about 7:25 and they stated that the shuttle picked up in lane 54 at 7:00. The hotel sent the cab back to get us. When we got to the hotel I was so mad that when I was talking to the manager I had tears in my eyes. I told her that I was ready to check out due to what happened. The manager informed me that she would make sure that I had shuttle the next 3 times we go to the parks and that she was going to comp my room for the night. She was very nice and helpful. I am sure I will speak of this on my trip report when I actually begin one lol. I just had to vent

What a fiasco with the shuttles, they need to get thier act together.
What a hasstle to have on vacay.
Glad that they offered you cab fare and comp'd your room for the night.
It seems like they made an effort to make up for it.

Well they did make the effort and yesterday on our day off from Universal they did play my favorite Disney movie with my favorite princess in it: Aladdin. But I guess after staying on Disney property last week I can never stay in another hotel again without wishing I was back on Disney Property. The good thing is we are on the 6th floor and I just saw Illuminations at 9:00 from one side of the hotel and at 10:00 when I walk out my door I can watch Wishes

I tracked her down in Epcot the day we were there. I also tracked down Snow White and Ariel as they were the only princess we have never met. I have lots of great pics if i ever start my report. Here is a hint...My son who wanted to swim the whole trip wants to come back for his birthday That is 7 months away so it could happen who knows. The only difference would be that I am never going to WDW again without getting the Dining Plan. More on that in my soon to come TR.
