Wow! What a wacky last few weeks it has been but the dust has settled about where my next adventure will be coming from and this is it.
**** January 7th -14th 2012 onboard the Disney Magic ****



Hello everyone - my name is Kris & well....I am a self confessed Disney nut.
Looking forward to this vacation as this has been 2 1/2 yrs in the making. I was slated to head off to the NYC area next April area but looks like I have shoved that back until Labor day enstead - give or take (what can I say...I wanna go out to a Yankees game).


So, until January 6th (my preday at CBR) - kick back....pop open your fav beverage and hang tight for some wacky adventures coming from yours truely as this vacation will be all about drinking in all the sights and sounds of a first timer into Key West, etc.


All right - enuf fer now. I gotta hop back onto updating my other trip reports you see listed below but I promise not to forget about you; esp as we get closer to my date of departure.

I have been hearing that the Blonde Giraffe is now closed!!
So I hope that I can locate some key lime cookies and such while I am out there (& to take some back onto the ship...prepackaged of course) cuz to me some ritas and key lime cookies go together like....


well...

like Ernie and Bert,
Lucy and Dezi,
Kermit and Ms Piggy,

(anyone else wanna add to the above list?)


because imo, they bother have the right kick that just compliments each other jjuusstt right.



So, when I arrive for my pre-day (at CBR of course), the first place I am off to will be HS as I wanna check out the new additions to "Walt: A One Man's Dream" and hopefully see Fantasmic.......for the very first time.

may have a character breakfast for the day of departure - don't know just yet.




But.....when we arrive into Key West -
ya just gotta have a shore excursion set up and one I will have set up for me that will be taking me out into the waters of the Keys....

via the "Key West Catamaran Sail & Snorkel Tour."

What am I gonna do??



Well, I am gonna listen to PPH (that's Pirate Potato Head) and...
ORDER SOME MORE.


Which is what I just did (yesterday) as I have now officially returned from my Ireland vacation and am now turning my attention more and more to this adventure.



Which has put me in the mood about what to do when we arrive in the cozy confines of Cozumel. So I have now added to my "wish list" the 'Mexican cuisine workshop & tasting tour.'

Now that oughta be fun noshing on some excellent food while nibbling on some wonderful 'ritas.




ANYWHO -


My preday plans entail me rolling up into CBR on Jan 6th and boogying on down to HS to see the new additions to "Walt a One Mans' Dream and then onto MK to see the new additions behind CIndy's Castle.



Okey Dokey - enuf 4 now. "Ladybug" (my 14 yr old female Beagle) is telling me its time to 'take me' out for a walk.

Now this IS a vacation I am looking forward to as I has been about two years now since I have been on a DCL cruise and well - wondering what kind of changes have taken place out on CC.



Now while on this adventure, I jjuusstt wonder what stateroom I will have:

Ok....yes I will let ya in on my secret - I will actually be in #2066.
(#2068 wasn't avail at time of booking)


WHY do I like those rooms on deck 2???


Cuz itz sooooooooo close to the LAUNDRY FACILITIES.


NOT THAT I AM "TeRrIfIeD" about taking home any DIRTY LAundry:

(Now THAT'S one hotel I wud love to work for!!)

I promise.


But about the first few daz of this adventure -

what do I have up my sleeve??



Well, for starters I have a 6-day pass to the Vista Spa "Rainforest" room so that's pretty nice.


But in addition to me celebrating my birthday (December 30th) while onboard as well, I also plan on enjoying some nice Disney family entertainment 9pm to 11:30pm nightly after my 2nd seating dining.


So be on the lookout for me to be in the Vista Spa in the am, shore excursion, then Vista Spa in the pm followed by a Disney show, dinner then a relaxing time winding down my day while up in the Deck 4 forward entertainment areas.

And -

lest we forget nightly room service with cookies and milk waiting for me when I get home.

key lime cookies & 'ritas - YUM!


What a wonderful last few weeks it has been for me as I continue my quest looking for a tri-colored Beagle puppy ("Ladybug" had to be put down in July due to numerous health issues and old age). I have a few good leads (am on 3 Breeders Lists) as it appears that I am set for a Christmas gift of some sorts of a big bundle of joy just come abounding up at me with all the making of what I hope to be another 14 yr + relationship of best buds.

The cost??

Hmmm....ya don't wanna know but I have started a "New Beagle puppy money fund" and have a nice start so far.



ANYWHO -


about Grand Cayman and snorkeling ........


From what I have been reading, GC seems to have better waters to see/snorkel in than Cozumel so hopefully on or about in 16 days (when I am eligible), I can book all my shore excursions with no issue.

But hey - I got alternatives up my sleeve juusstt in case.


And speaking of alternatives -

I have decided recently to throw in some wine tastings of some sort of this adventure which should provide me a pretty nice way to kick back and enjoy my days just that much better -

weather cooperating or not..

I mean, hey if I was out last time at 4am jogging out of Deck 4 (HHUUHH??) and could hear thunder and rain way off in the distance and still had fun looking off into the blackness of the sea while jogging.....then looking back onto the deck, I figure I can get through anything.

the double digit dance has now begun.


Spent the lazy day watching of all Disney Movies, "Bambi" for the first time (in preperation for my upcoming adventure into S.F.).


COOL MOVIE!

I will even admit I even caught myself saying to the tv, "Bambi.....DON'T GO INTO THE MEADOW!!"

the layout of the movie was fantabalous and can't wait to put in a visit to the Walt Disney Family museum while there.



ANYWHO -


Gotta go for now. Gotta pay just a little more attention to my upcoming adventure to Hawaii - complete with a visit to Disney's Hotel Aulani.

IT"S 'TIME' 4 ME 2 CRANK UP THIS TRIP REPORT


Got my Hawaii trip report all finished


Got my dieting partner and 'partner in crime' that I picked up from Henderson Texas:

and -

(her name is Ladybug and she is 13 weeks old)


ANYWHO -





Now, all that's set is to clean out my OnE 26' luggage of the Hawaii stuff and slowly begin loading it with my DCL stuff.


Of course, ya know I will now have my partner in crime to help me out ya know.



But best of all about this adventure is going to be Key West and while on board the Magic......

Just received my travel documents today!!



and Ladybug and I 'officially' begin our crash diet TODAY!
Hope to lose about 8-10 pounds.....WISH ME LUCK as she & I are now ready to go out for our daily walks (she now knows about 20 words and phrases).


ANYWHO -


AM beginning now to pack my suitcase with the essentials.
AND ....


Just put in an order with the Byrd cookie company for some Key Lime cookies AND some Jalapeno cheeder cheese cookies for this adventure!!


AND - (if thats not enuf to wet yer appetite).....


I have decided to park hop on my pre-day and visit both HS AND MK

Many reasons why:

1) never been on the Star Tours attraction.
2) Never seen the updates on the Walt: Ones Man's Dream
3) Well....I just wanna.

And -

I wanna see all the updates at Mk since I have last visited it (Oct 2010).



So....


we are getting there - just a few more days and the edventure shall begin!!

1) the changes at Walt One Mans Dream
2) STAR TOURS!! (never been on it).
3) Osborne Spectacle of Lights
4) FANTASMIC!! (NEVER SEEN IT)

then.........


park hop on over to MK and see:



1)new changes to HM.
2) see any other changes to the park.
3) Hopefully the Christmas fireworks show at 9pm
4) Parade before hand.



AND then have a character Bk the next morning before I head off to the cruise terminal for more fun.

Well, I finally received a wonderful box (from the Byrd Cookie Company) in the mail just a few days ago and I already have it packed away in my OnE suitcase -

I have even packed some Jalapeno Cheeder cheese cookies. IMO, these go great with your 'ritas.


and Key Lime pie, etc.

Got caught up on my movies "bucket list:"


1) "POTC: On Stranger Tides." = put me in that ol DCL cruise mood!!
2) I will admit, "HP Deathly Hallows part 2": that movie ROCKED!!
3) the new Muppet Movie?

hhmmmmm......gonna have to hold ya in suspense for a bit.



In other wacky news, Ladybug's 'hotel reservations' are all set..............
She has helped me get my weight stabilized................


**EVEN have lost 6 lbs**



I am all set to rebook while onboard (Dec 29th 2013 on the Dream) with a pre and a post day.............




BUT -
Now I just gotta get movin' on packin that OnE suitcase of mine THIS WEEKEND!!


Ok....if ya can't tell - I HATE PACKING!! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR



But then again, it's for a good cause.

BACKSTORY ABOUT MY PLEA LETTER TO SNOW WHITE:


Ok - so Goofy me decides to take my digital camera on DCA's California Adventure roller coaster ( BIG MISTAKE) and yup -

Ya guessed it!!



SO, off I go to buy a new one in time for my adventure into MNSSHP last year (see below trip report in my signature).

had tons of fun, saw & inneracted with every Disney character imaginable;
even Snow White and 7 of her friends.

She even told me to close my eyes and she would give me a great big surprise ....on the count of three.
Which she did as she promptly landed a big ol red lipstick kiss on the top of my forehead!!.

BOY did I turn beet red!!


Got home later on that evening back at POFQ.....3 hours later (the start of my day) - I awoke and thought it would be fun to see which pics were keepers and which ones were deleters.

Well.....wouldn't ya know it, I didn't realize ON MY BRAND NEW CAMERA, that there is a difference between delete pic and delete all file!!


YES - I DID!!


So, I am out on a mission to seek out Ms White and gently ask for a reshoot; and hey - ya never know..... there is a possibility that the rest of the Princesses just may join up in the fun.




Keep yer fingers crossed as it sure was fun trying to explain to Ms White (in my letter) just what exactly is a camera and just what does it do..




Ok -


Been real, looking forward to KEY WEST (very first thing I packed in my suitcase?? My key lime cookies!!).
