What are some of your favorite spots in WDW to take photos of your kids to see how much they've grown in between visits?

We take one every trip at the troll in Norway. It's in the shop that you walk through at the end of Maelstrom.

We have 2 spots! The first is in front of the American Adventure in the World Showcase on the park bench with Spaceship Earth in the background. The other is in the playground area outside of Mickey's House in the Magic Kingdom. There are two little ducks that my DS would sit on - first the tiny one and then the "Mama." I have 3 pictures of him growing up on those sweet little ducks. I always wonder how many kids have sat on their backs over the years........ :wizard:

Our oldest son first went to WDW when he as 8 yo, many, many years ago. He now has a son that is 3yo. For our son's birthday, my wife has gotten down the old photo albums and found some pictures from his first trip to Disney, like riding Dumbo and Autopia. Now, by chance our grandson, son's his 3 yo son, has already been to Disney and Mon took some pictures of him doing the exact same rides and things while at Disney that dad had done yeaaaars ago. So my wife is making a large scrapbook style picture titled "Like Father, Like Son" for his birhtday using these pictures. It really looks good!

We like the bronze Arial statue outside the Beach Club Villas. When I was pregnant with my DS we took my picture beside her. Then we took my DS picture on his first trip with her. Then we took another this past October. Its amazing how much he's grown in such a short period of time.

Our favorite "my how they grow" spot is with Flik in MGM studios. He is over by the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground in the restaurant area. We've been taking pictures of our dd and ds since they were 7 and 6 in the same pose as Flik, they are now 16 & 14 and my how they've grown but they still love getting their picture taken there for every trip.

What a fun thread!! :thumbsup2
We take ours in the stocks in Frontierland or Liberty Square every trip. Have one of myself and sisters back in the day too...

We also do the totum poll at WL. We also always get one of our son on the people mover. And we have added the fountain in front of SSR, since we stayed there opening night+.

I've taken their pictures through out the years at MGM~ bug's life~ the flick character outside the playground. Started when the youngest was 1 and now he's 9. My oldest is now 17, each year it's getting harder and harder to get him to stand there and take a picture! Last time my husband just said to him, Please for your mother go stand there!!!! ;)

Amazing to see how they've grown. Sad in a way, too.

We like to use Mickey's mailbox out in front of his house in ToonTown. It is amazing how they grow!

We always take a pic on the Tommorowland bridge with the castle in the backround. My "kids" are now in their 20's and we plan on taking one on our trip in April 2007.

We pose dd in front of Minnie's quilt in her house. I guess for ds it's by the sword in the stone.

My four year old son adores minnie and the last few years we've got him on the bench entering MK with the bronze minnie and Roy Disney with the castle in the background. It is amazing to see how he's grown and the grin on his face is priceless!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We went last December when our daughter was 11 months and I had the intention of doing it then, but somehow ended up with most photos being with characters. We're going in September this year and its on my must do list. We have the tradition of always getting her photo taken with the sheep statue at our local botanical gardens and the gorilla statue at our zoo so I really want to start the tradition for Disney. Just wish I would have remembered to do it last time.

Our spot is by the wooden Indian on Main Street in the MK. We've taken her photo there since she was 6 months old and we had to hold her up--now she is 6 and how she has grown, too! I have a special album just for these shots (just gotta find all the pictures and put them in that album when I find it again....)

In Adventureland, we go to the "Tiki statues" near the Jungle Ride.

We don't have a "spot", but we always have a picture taken as we enter one of the parks - usually a different one each time. The first year it was the Studios, our son was 7, and very small. This year he will tower over me. It has been fun to look over the pictures and see how he has grown.

What a GREAT idea (yes, another one to ad to my list of "I learned that on the DIS") Our 1st trip was last year, I am going to go through the album and see if there are any good ones that we can repeat this year in August.
Thanks for the inspiration:goodvibes

I love this idea. My DD is an avid scrapper, and I know the she would live to incorporate this into her DD's visits to Mickey's House.
