My Honeymoon PTR...The real love bugs are coming in September 2011 (Final Update!)

Hi there! Joining in! My fiance and I will also be staying at Coronado, but not until January. I'm not sure if anyone answered from your first post, but I was told when I posted over on the CSR resort thread that if you book the Preferred King room you will definitely get Casitas. I'm not sure what buildings, but they all seemed pretty certain that if you wanted Casitas that was the way to go!

Congrats on the wedding, can't wait to read more!

Hi JessicaKnits, Thanks for the info on the Casitas room. i'm excited because that's the section I really want to stay in. That's awesome that you have a trip coming up. I can barely wait 3 months right now. I think I would go nuts if I had to wait until January!

Alright it's about time for me to get back to revealing our day to day plans. So get ready for a big update because I've decided to tweak our schedule just slightly. I also will be adding in some wedding details. So here goes it...

Arrival Day Plans Change

Well, now there are none :lmao:

I was originally planning on going to the Magic Kingdom to see MSEP and Wishes and I guess this is still a possibility but I changed our Magic Kingdom day to a day where the parade and fireworks are happening at night so there isn't a need to go see these on arrival night. (Crazy run on sentence. Thanks for bearing with it.)

So I figured just taking it easy will be the name of the game. I thought about scheduling a dinner on this night, but we might be too tired to try to have a late dinner. Besides I don't want to freak out my future hubby on the first night with all by obsessive "we have to be there by this time or else" stuff  I would like to still explore the resort, maybe swim. Probably go for a ride on the monorail since I've never been on it (crazy I know).

So since the arrival day plans are so eventful let me stop rambling and get on to the plans for our third day.

Day 3-EPCOT

On Monday, September 26th, we'll be headed to see this glorious site

Epcot.jpg

I'd like to be there at rope drop or as close to it as possible so we can head straight to this ride before the line gets too long.

soarin_01_050416_outside_signage_bennett.jpg

After that I'd like to grab something to eat at sunshine seasons. Do you think it will be too early for some of this?

shortcake-t.jpg

Next, I'd like to ride living with the land. I've never been on this before so it is a must do. Then we'll probably head over and get some fastpasses for test track then head over to my fiance's favorite.

epcot-mission-space-picture-001.JPG

I really like this ride, too. We will definitely be doing the orange side. The more realistic the better. I am most certainly a thrill junkie when it comes to theme park rides. (Okay so there is an exception, but you'll find that out later ) Being the thrill seeker that I am, I will have to check out Sum of All Thrills to see if it lives up to its name. I am hoping to design the craziest ride available. I'll try not to make Matt sick  I'd like to explore innoventions some more after that but I'm hoping to make our way over to...

The World Showcase
I love exploring all the countries. And believe it or not, Matt has never seen the inside of most of them. I really want to take our time in each country. I want to see every nook and cranny, go into every shop, ride every ride, watch every performance. Okay so maybe not go too crazy trying to cram everything in. But most importantly we will have to sample some of the delicious food. I think I would like to eat lunch here

BDJ402.jpg

I know Matt will love this place. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it looks like something I will really love. Speaking of tea...I would also like to try on of the alcoholic tea beverages found at the China pavilion. Perhaps the green tea plum slush?

6117383-10634404-thumbnail.jpg

Well I hope to at least explore a few countries before heading over to The Seas pavilion for our dinner at

sign21.jpg

I hope we get a seat by the tank. I'm willing to wait. I've been here before and really enjoyed it, but I am very sad because the catfish dish I ate last time is no longer on the menu. But I have my eye on that lobster ravioli.

After dinner it will be time to head back to the world showcase and stake out our spot for Illuminations.

epcot_illuminations.jpg

Then it will be time to call it a night and head back to the room. Sorry if the post was a bit repetitive since I've already posted about an Epcot day. I hope you guys like Epcot though because we'll be heading back there plenty,

And now it's time for some wedding details. I should start first with this since I haven't told you guys yet.

The Engagement Story

Matt and I had a week off of work together last August with no real vacation plans, so I suggested we go to Blackwater Falls in Davis, West Virginia. I love this place because my family and I have gone here every year. It was also one of the first places that Matt and I took a trip to when we first started dating. Here is a picture of the falls themselves. Sorry it's so big. I just didn't think it would do the scenery justice if I made it smaller.

Falls2.jpg

They have a walking path with stairs to get to the falls so we hiked down there and hiked back. We then decided to go hiking on some trails around the nearby lake. We started off into the woods, and Matt kept saying he wanted to find a place to rest. I kept calling him a baby for complaining, but we finally decided to head back towards the lake. We found a quaint spot by the lake to sit. Here is what the lake looks like from where we sat.

P1010846.jpg

So we sat down on this rock by a little stream running by the lake.

P1010869.jpg

That's when Matt pulled out a photo album I had given him back before I left for college that contained pictures of us and mementos from our relationship. Clueless me wasn't suspecting anything until I got to the back of the album where Matt had added more pictures of us over the years we had been dating. That's when I got suspicious. Then, on the last page were the words "We've been through so much together, but there's just one more thing..." This is when I started to cry. I slowly turned the page, and there was the question "Will you marry me?" That's when I noticed that Matt was on one knee holding a little box with my ring inside it. I just started crying more and smiling until Matt said, "So, are you going to answer the question?" That's when I said "Yes!"

So here's a picture of my ring. It's not the best picture, but you get the idea of what it looks like.

P1010849.jpg

So I guess that's enough for tonight. I've go to get up at 4am so I should really head to bed. I'll be gone to a friend's wedding this weekend, but I will make it a priority to post some more trip and wedding details next week. Goodnight!

Loved reading your Epcot plans again! :thumbsup2

Aaw what a great engagement story - that is soo sweet of Matt to put so much thought and effort in to the location and the way he asked you :lovestruc

Thanks! I also love how I had been expecting him to propose for a while, but didn't know it was coming until the last second.

Tuesday, September 27th

So I had originally planned to go to the Magic Kingdom this day, but I now decided we will go to

hollywoodstudioshat.jpg

Hollywood Studios!

The hours for the studios as of now are 9am-7pm with no Fantasmic. If that remains true then this should be a very very low crowd day for the Studios. Fantasmic will be showing every other night of the week we are there, so we will have time to see it another day.

My plan is to get there at rope drop and head straight to

disney-world-toy-story-mania-01.jpg

Since crowds should be low, I am hoping to ride this then grab a fastpass for later. Our goal will probably be to get on this ride as many times as possible because Toy Story is Matt's favorite Disney movie (and he sure doesn't love too many of them so I'll take what I can get.)

Next, we will definitely have to make our way over to

disney-star-wars-weekend-star-tours.jpg

I'm excited to check out what they've done with the ride. I thought it was fun when I rode it before, so it should be really awesome now. Matt will definitely enjoy this too, and I have a feeling we will repeat it.

After this we will probably check out

m_rnrcguitar.jpg

I like the Rock'n Roller Coaster. Heck, we'll probably ride this one again at some point during the day. (I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for the crowds to be nonexistent).

After this it will be on to

indianajones.jpg

Matt and I are both excited to see this one. Maybe one of us will be picked to participate. :)

I'm guessing after all of this it will be time for our lunch reservation at

sci_fi_dine-in_theater.jpg

The Sci-Fi Dine in Theater looks yummy. I would love to have the classic drive-in fare of a milkshake, burger, and fries.

After lunch I want to see

lightsmotorsactionsign.jpg

This is another thing I think Matt will really like.

In addition to all this stuff, I would love to check out the animation studio and maybe draw a character. I would also like to stroll through the One Man's Dream exhibit.

We will have to ride

The_Great_Movie_Ride_poster.jpg

I have never been on this, so it's a must do. I will probably also drag Matt to Voyage of the Little Mermaid because Ariel is my favorite. I don't think I'll make him suffer through Beauty and the Beast though. While I like it, I guess I can go without seeing it this time. We'll definitely catch Muppets 3D though. That's something we can both enjoy. Overall, I think Hollywood Studios might shape up to be Matt's favorite park. There seems to be a lot of stuff there that I think he'll really love.

Oh, and don't worry I didn't forget about this.

towerofterrorday.jpg

I think we'll both be too chicken to get on it, but I have a plan to come back another night when we have some liquid courage in us. Stay tuned for that plan :lmao:

After a fun-filled day at the Studios we will head over to the Boardwalk.

etc_boardwalk.jpg

Isn't it gorgeous at night!? I've never been over here so I'm excited to see what's going on. We will then have a what I'm hoping will be a lovely dinner at

Kouzzina.jpg

I'm excited to try this restaurant. We both really enjoy greek food, so it should be a winner. If it is amazing then I might think about scheduling a breakfast here for later on in the trip.

Have any of you had breakfast here? How was it?

Great DHS plans! :thumbsup2

Good luck with the TSMM plans - ours are the same in that to grab a FP and ride as well.

Can't wait to go on the new Star Tours! Lol am the same with RnR coaster and ToT! :rotfl: I know Zaheer will not ride so I will be riding both on my own. Think I will be okay with ToT but it's RnR Coaster that scares me! :scared1:

I'm reading a TR at the minute that have just had dinner at Kouzzina and they loved it! If you enjoy Greek food you will have a great time at this place.

Great DHS plans, looks like you're going to try to fit everything into that day! :thumbsup2 I hope you make it back for ToT, it's my favorite ride ever, it's SO much fun! It's a little scary at first, but once you do it, you realize you'll be ok! :cool1:

I did ride ToT before. My sister dragged me on it. The first part was really cool, but I did NOT like the drops . It's the only thrill ride I've come across that still freaks me out that much. They need a side for wienies like Matt and I where it goes through the first part then gently lets you down. I really do want to go on it because I love the theming, so I might suck it up but only if Matt decides he'll go too.

I don't like drop rides so ToT definitely lives up to its name for me. RnR is soooo much fun. Matt doesn't really like roller coasters but he likes this one. There aren't any big hills, just a lot of fun twists and turns. There is so much to look at and the music is blaring that I forget that I'm on this crazy indoor roller coaster and just have lots of fun. I think you'll love it.

I got my wedding invites in the mail today, so I thought it would be a perfect time to tell you guys a little bit more about the wedding.

First off here's a sample pic of the invitation.

The Location

We will be having our wedding at a place called the hayloft. It has a gazebo area where we will be having the ceremony.

It also has a barn where the reception will take place.

(The above images were taken by Solas Photography)

It's not going to quite look like that inside. I don't want the chair covers. I just think it looks to formal for the barn setting. I'm also going to do away with the hanging ferns. I will however have some lights hanging over the dance floor kind of like this

(Photo taken by The Nichols Studio and featured on elizabethannedesigns.com)

Here are how I'd like the centerpieces to look.

DIY-Centerpiece-with-Found-Objects-Tin-Cans-Apothecary-Jars-500x333.jpg

I like the look of old bottles, cans, and mason jars. I think it fits the vintage rustic theme. I also want to just use blue wildflowers, peach carnations, peach roses, queen anne's lace, even wheat stalks with just a one or a few in each bottle. I also want to put candles on every table (maybe blue mason jars with candles in them) because my reception will go on into the night.

Oh and by the way, my colors are chocolate brown, peach, and vintage blue.

Your wedding ceremony location looks just beautiful and the invites are gorgeous. Looks like it is going to be a lovely ceremony :goodvibes

Great invites and I love the rustic feel of the barn! :thumbsup2

Think it will look beautiful with the hanging lights over the dance floor!

Your invitations are so nice, and the ceremony and reception site are beautiful! When I was actually planning to have a real wedding (I had a very VERY small ceremony in my yard, but before we decided to do that, we were planning a real wedding at one point!) I found this beautiful barn for a reception site and I fell in love with it, it looks just like the one you are using! The centerpieces are adorable!

Thank you! We thought about doing a backyard wedding actually, but then the guest list started getting out of hand. I really love the whole concept of a barn wedding though. I'm excited to see it all come together.

Thanks, I love the rustic setting too. The wedding coordinator for the hayloft said I was the first to use lights hanging over the dance floor. I couldn't believe no one else had thought of doing that there before. I agree that it will look beautiful.

Thanks! I really like the little island gazebo. My only concern was that the guests will be seated a little far away, but that just means they won't be getting too good of a look at my ugly cry face . I just know I'll be a mess during the ceremony.
