My guinea pig is sick!!

Ok, the day started off fine but when I got home my mom said that my 5 yr old Guinea pig, Jazzy, wasn't lookin too good. She wasn't acting normal. She was sitting in the corner of her cage, not eating, not drinking, not doing anything!!! My mom called the vet, we got in the car and drove for 35 min just to get to the vet. When we got there they took us in right away. They ended up taking an X~Ray. When we were called in to go see them, the X~Ray showed that she was filled with gas!! Her body wouldn't let it out. So now shes on medication and I am so nevous, Its too soon for me!!! I hope she survives!!!

thanks rockinchica. But unfortunately my guinea pig, Jazzy, died this afternoon. It was really sad. We thought the medicine was going to work. She died while I was holding her. It was weird because when I was holding her, she was laying their like she was really relaxed and then all of the sudden her body did some jerky motions and then that was it. She was gone. Then we buried her in the backyard and made her a tombstone.

thats so sad i srry 4 u my rabbit just died yesturday and my other rabit might have killed it cuz she was bitin and we just burried her today im srry for ur loss

I havent been on in a few days because i was so upset about Jazzy (My guinea pig)

and the thing that was really hard was christmas shopping. every year i go christmas shopping for my pets as well as my family, so i go into the pet shop and rightby the door are guinea pigs, in a clear box!!! and it was also hard b/c it was the first year not getting Jazzy a gift.

anyway i just wanted to thank u all for caring!!!

A few months ago my guinea pig died. A few days before she stopped eating and drinking. One morning my mom went to feed her she was dead. I am so sorry about Jazzy.

I am SOOO sorry your little Jazzy passed away.
But you should be very proud of yourself- you obviously took very good care of her! Guinea pigs USUALLY do not live to be 5yrs or more- it's rare and usually only in the case of being taken VERY good care of... so you should be proud that you took such good care of her that she lived to be 5yrs old. It shows how much you loved her.

I am sorry for the death of all your pets...they are like a part of family...i know nothing we say can make u feel better, but go have a good cry, dry your eyes, and look up, because everything will be ok...promise We are all here for u!
