My Godson is being deployed

We'll keep him in our prayers! My husband will wrap up a 14+ month tour this summer and I can remember those first few weeks very vividly.

i'm sorry i know how you feel i am 15 weeks pregnant have a toddler and my husband got a deployment voluntold on him about a month and a half ago. He leaves next week for training for 3 months and then doesn't get any time off before he has to go to iraq (even though there is time between he has been denied comming home during it even though it will cost the government more to keep him away from us (at least an extra 700$ or more)). Our baby will be 4 months old when he comes back from his 6 month deployment.... to get this, proof read to ensure certain forms are filled out correctly!!!!! yep he is missing the birth of our second and last child (probably) to ensure forms are filled out correctly in iraq?! I hope your godson fairs well and gets a job that will at least be making a differance over there.

My DH is returning in just weeks after a year long deployment. It seems so slow and so fast all at once. But I can still remember like it was yesterday how I felt about a year ago right now.

I would also ask that you take out his full name and any dates cemented or not. Even though this is a disney board, it is open for all to read and can put people in danger.

I don't mean this in an ugly manner. I teach this stuff all day and now we teach about what not to tell on the internet and name and dates are BIG things.

I'm sorry that your sad/worried if you have anyquestions about shipping things please let me know. I know that military life/regs can be confusing.

PP is correct you should never leave full names, dates, specific locations in discussion boards/internet listings (i.e. Facebook) that are open to public, they ask that we not post that information as an effort to limit what information is available to those trying to hurt our soldiers,Airman,Seaman, and Marines.

Thank God for all the members of the United States Military and their families. Sometimes people forget that without the sacrifice that your family and other families have made, we would not enjoy the freedom that we DO have in this country. My thoughts are with your family. Please know that your godson IS a hero not just to you...he is all our hero and his country is at his service.

You got it! I don't know how all of you families do it, I can't imagine the worry that comes along with such a close family member being deployed. But then again, the pride must be far greater than the worry! Bless all of those out there fighting for us. Thank you!!!!!
