I agree that this statement is totally wrong. It's almost as if the poster is trying to provoke people to conjure up someone in their mind that could be a pedophile. If there is no evidence to back it up, why turn the "neighborhood" into a bunch of alarmists.


I'm starting to realize that there is a double standard here. If it were I or any number of other posters, this would have been deleted in a heartbeat. However, since it is a very well known poster it just slips by the cracks.

I am offended to be lumped into a generalized statement that would condsider anyone of us sexual predators. Like I said if there is no proof, why wreak such havoc. We are all adults, and we know what happens, and I for one would not leave a child with someone met on an internet bb, regardless. And I would venture to guess that I am not alone in my thinking.

I don't understand, you say he gave a general statement the best you can see and then that the attack is very personal in your opinion. Which one is it ? am I missing something?

We all know that there are perverts and sickos on the DIS, like there are everywhere else, nobody ever denied that. But again this was a very direct statement about DIS people only, not general.
I have seen people here banned for a lot less than this kind of statement.

Sorry, what I tried to say is that he made a general statement , and I believe the attack against him by many people is a personal one. I hate seeing that. And I don't care who it is being attacked.

TP said if she had written this it would have been deleted. I think this should have been. It just made for a bad situation in general. I do not care if we are talking DM, VH, or anyone else on here, I will not sit by and watch apersonal attack occur without saying something. I think there are many perspectives, and I try to see them.

Thank you MsKanga for trying to see mine even though we disagree.

For me, the issue is that we all are familiar with who is on Dan's "not so favorite" or "ignore" list or whatever you want to call it.

By posting what he did, he is insinuating that they (myself included, I am sure) are perverts who would visit their perversions upon a child.

VERY inappropriate, in my opinion.

It is well known that there are people here who take everything that Dan says as Holy Gospel.

Then I am probably missing something. I tend to take people at face value. I choose not to read into things, if I can help it.

If what you say is accurate, I apologize for offending you.

I do believe, needless to say, in giving people the benefit of the doubt. I guess that if someone had this problem with me, I would hope it would be dealt with in a different manner than I have seen here by some posters.

I have always been the champion of the underdawg, and will continue to be.

BTP, you presented your opinion very nicely and respectfully. I like that in a poster. I don't always pull it off.
