is really ugly. The previous owners painted the furnace in my room neon pink. Then (i'm guessing because its so UGLY) they put a huge cardboard box over it with a hole cut out for ventilation. Can someone help me with some decorating ideas for it?

Well first off, I would take the cardboard box off the furnace before you have no room to live in. Sounds like a big fire hazard. And I do not have any decorating ideas, sorry. :)

i'm not really sure if I want to paint it.....

the furnace works...but because of the box, my room doesn't get too warm and toasty in winter.

the furnace itself gets hot? how hot? just warm or too-hot-too-touch?

i haven't touched it before.....my room gets warm though, just not as warm as i'd like it to be. I've survived 2 winters with it, i guess i could surivive a 3rd. :(

i'd either paint it, or say to heck with appearances, and take the box off. it'll add ... color to the room. :)

I'm with Dan... I'd be wary of putting a cardboard box so close to the furnace... paper is flammable and that just seems to be asking for trouble. Maybe you could just put lots of John Hannah posters up in the room and then you would be too distracted to notice the furnace color! :teeth:

decorate it with Simba pictures.

ooh! I like the John Hannah posters idea!!!! are there any non flammable paints out there? I don't want my room to explode.
