One of my kitties had an "accident" at 3AM. She was in the kitchen window, probably stalking something, and got startled. She broke a glass vase, and cut herself badly. Her "little brother" ran out of the bedroom and proceeded to get a small cut. We rushed them both to the ER - Elvis was fine, but Chloe cut a vein. They had to stitch her up, and she has a cone collar on.

When we got home, we had to get a separate area ready for her, so the other kitties wouldn't try to get her stitches out. Well, she got under the bed to a spot we couldn't get to, so I let her be. Then after a while I got worried - I couldn't hear her moving around. I looked under the bed, but I couldn't see her. I had to move the mattress, and one of the boxsprings. She was inside the other boxspring, and her cone collar was stuck. I had rip the top cover of my boxspring off, get the collar off, and get her out. Thankfully, she is ok - I was more scared than she was. She is resting in the bathroom with a blankie and pillow.

Thank God I am a light sleeper (because I may not have heard the crash this morning), and that I work at home (so I can be here to take care of her). When my husband gets home, I think we are putting the boxspring and mattress on the floor for a while.

Everyone hug your furbabies, and if you could send a few hugs Chloe's way, she would appreciate it!!!

I'm sure glad Chloe is ok... I've got a Chloe kitty too. Lots of love and hugs are being sent her way!

Aww, poor baby. :( So glad you were home to catch her and were able to find her in the boxsprings.

Poor Chloe! And you, too! Hope the rest of her recovery is quick and uneventful. :)

Poor Chole!! Sending her kitty kisses and hugs.

My Isis feel off the TV last night but didn't hurt himself. He likes to jump from the TV to the curio cabinet and over to the chest. I knew one day he was going to fall but he landed on his feet and then came up on the bed and ""talked"" to me about it....LOL!

I always feel so bad when they have to wear those collars. You're a good mama to your furbaby!

here's to your kitty being ok, we know what it's like to have 1 sick or injured

Elvis is fine - he is running around with his mama (who stayed out of the whole mess, but is very worried about her babies). He does keep going to the closed door where Chloe is and is crying for her.

Chloe is resting alone. She hates that cone thing!!! I have gone in a few times to spend time with her, and she is purring, and trying to rub her body and face against me. Since I want her to rest, I am trying to leave her alone - but I don't want her to feel abandoned!!! My husband should be home soon, so that should help (all of them just LOVE daddy).

Thanks again for all of your hugs and support - it's working!!!

awww... poor baby :( I hope that both of you are feeling much better soon... very scary thing to happen

Aw, poor little kitties! I'm glad to hear they're going to be OK.

My kitty apparently walked around on the piano one night not too long ago, because when we got up in the morning the musical snowglobe I had on top was knocked to the floor and broken. It was a mess to clean up (even though the keys were covered water still got inside through the hinge), and glass all over the floor but thankfully the kitty was all right, that was the important thing. ::yes::

That is so scary! I see things like that all the time, and it really makes me want to never leave my pets alone. :( I'm glad you were there and everyone is ok.
