THANK YOU everyone for sending me good thoughts and prayers. We were a pretty tight bunch of ladies that worked weekend shift at the hospital. There were 6 of us total so you can imagine how close we were all crammed in the same little office for the last 7 years. I guess it was just such a shock. She told us she was sick on Dec 13th and died within 4 months time. We are all gearing up for the funeral this week. Its gonna be really hard. Esp seeing her children. Her husband cried in our arms he was so freaked out I wont forget that for a long time. She was only 2 years older than me. I really do appreciate my family here helping me through this and letting me just vent.

My boss called to tell me that my friend who has been battling non Hodgkins Lymphoma passed away. She was a very hard donar match being half American and half Jamaican. I am so sad and blue. I will miss her smile,insight and cheerful words. She was in the end a victum of 9/11 she inhaled that crap the buildings spewed into the air. Her brother died last year from the same thing. He was a NYC firefighter. If you could say a prayer for her family. She is leaving behind 2 young children.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Perhaps we could all think about registering to be a bone marrow donor and maybe someone here could make a difference to someone else's recovery.

My entire department tried to find a match for her. With no luck

She was half American and half Jamaican and esp difficult to match.
