My Fourth Solo Trip - Just Believe and Your Dreams Will Come True

signing on for the rest. how cool to win a dream. i can't believe that you went solo for 12 days. i went for 1/2 that and was getting lonely. can't wait to hear more.

Thank you everyone for all your kind comments.

I had originally only planned on touring Fantasyland today, but after winning the Dream Fast Pass I changed my plans, since I now had a Fast Pass for every ride in the park, and there was no way I was going to waste them.

I decided to finish my must dos in Fantasyland, walking on to Snow White's Scary Adventures, Peter Pan's Flight, and It's a Small World, not bothering to use any of my Fast Passes yet. It wouldn't of made sense, in my mind, to use a Fast Pass when the ride is a walk on. That just seems like a waste of a Fast Pass.

I then walked to Liberty Square, where I rode the Haunted Mansion, which was also a walk on. I had ridden it before since the rehab they had done a year ago, but I really noticed a lot more of the details this time, having a whole doom buggy to myself. I really think the additions to this ride were positive, while keeping the classic aspects alive.

I then went back to Fantasyland to see Mickey's Phillarmagic, before walking all the way to Frontierland. On the way to Frontierland, who should I pass, but Donald Duck, in a very cute Daniel Boone type outfit, that I had never seen before.

When I got to Frontierland I got a Fast Pass for Big Thunder Mt. Railroad. Just because I had my Dream Fast Pass, didn't mean I wasn't going to get as many regular Fast Passes as possible. The more the better was my way of thinking, though they all weren't necessary.

I then rode Big Thunder Mt. Railroad with no wait, before walking into Adventureland to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, which I also really like, but not as much as the Haunted Mansion. I then went back to Frontierland, where I saw the Country Bear Jamboree for the first time ever.

After the Country Bears it was almost 11:30. Only two and a half hours in the park, and I had already done so much! I decided to try and walk back to the castle in time for the 11:40 showing of Dream Along with Mickey, and as I was walking I saw part of a performance of Woody's Roundup.

I envy your opportunity to go solo! What a great start to your trip w/speedy flight plus Dreampasses!!

I see this is your fourth solo trip. What year did you start going solo?
How has it changed for you going solo?

I'm SO glad you decided to go after all. Loving your trip report. I have NEVER seen Woody around anywhere. I'll be sure to be on the look out for him.

My first solo trip was in 2005, so they've all been pretty recent. I don't think much has changed, except for like what restaurants I eat at and stuff, and favorite attractions. Nothing that is directly related to me going solo.

Woody is always at DHS. It was Bullseye that I was glad to see.

I've never seen any of them!!! I don't know if you've seen my PTR, but my previous trips have always been me being dragged around by other family members, leaving me to do very few of the things that I want....But not this time!!! :cool1: I'll be dragging DS around to do what I want this time around. Poor kid. He doesn't know what he's in for. :rotfl:

I've never seen Donald in that costume either! Too cute!!

So first time ever seeing Country Bears?? What did you think? I haven't been for a good 20 years but remember liking it as a kid. :confused3

Sounds like you really enjoyed yourself - I've got my first solo trip next year and will be reading all your report for some great ideas :goodvibes

Wow, your room was ready - awesome. I've always had to wait til 3PM for checkin.

And a Philharmagic fastpass from the Winnie machine? I didn't know that was possible!

After seeing some of Woody's Roundup I made it to the Hub in time to see the 11:40 showing of Dream Along with Mickey. I've seen this show at least a dozen times in person, and countless times on You Tube, and I really think this may be the best castle stage show yet.

Here are some pictures I took of the show;

After the show I walked into Tomorrowland where I used my first Dream Fast Pass for the first time on Space Mt, before getting a regular Fast Pass for Space Mt. I also saw Stitch's Great Escape, which I hadn't seen for a few years, before heading to lunch.

I ate lunch that day at Crystal Palace, it was really good. My full review can be found here.

When I finished eating lunch it was 2:15. I headed to Adventureland, where I used my second Dream Fast Pass piece to ride Jungle Cruise. The skipper was very funny, and it was an enjoyable ride.

I then got another regular Fast Pass for Splash Mountain, before getting a spot in Frontierland for the 3:00 parade.

Here are some pictures from the parade.

I thought it was all right. It won't be something I need to see every trip, but I like it better then the Hall of Presidents.

We went to wdw for the first time and got dream fast passes on Buzz Lightyear. I was so excited! There was a family in front of us who didn't know what they were. When we explained them to them they started screaming. It was really cute!
Looking forward to more!

I've been reading your dining reviews and saw the link for this in you signature. Thought I would check it out too. :goodvibes

I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind.

I know you went at a slower time but when you saw the show in front of the Castle, about how many rows back were you? You didn't seem to get there too early. I'd like to take my kids to see the show but in between going on rides, eating and potty breaks, I have a hard time fitting it in.

Second, you said you went to Frontierland for the parade. Your pics looks great. Very unobstucted. Where in Frontierland did you sit? Having a 4 & 6 year old on our last trip, we were never in the park for the parade (had to chill in the resort room most afternoons).

For Dream with Mickey I probably got there less then ten minutes before showtime, and I was in one of those "buildings" in the hub, (where the water fountain is,) to the left of the stage.

I watched the parade from right where it starts in Frontierland, next to Splash Mountain.

Thanks! :goodvibes I'll have to check out those spots.

Can't wait to read more of your report.
