Tink is always such great fun and she's too cute too. I haven't met a Tink I haven't loved meeting.

Ugh castle icing. Castle lighting. I mean, I get putting Anna and Elsa there but they should have kept Cindy around too, it is her castle.

If I ever get a reservation for BOG I'll remember to ask for Shelly because she does sound great.

Well I mean, if the server says to battle with steak knives... why wouldn't you battle with steak knives?

Shelly was totally great to you guys, what a sweetheart. Though it amused me that she kept teasing you about the gray stuff, but we all have to keep the important secrets.

Hi Danielle! I've been so ridiculously behind on your former TRs that I typically don't comment but I'm pleased to say I'm completely caught up now!!!

First off, your nails were a masterful work of art!

I loved the grey stuff but was sad the brownie was so hard beneath it. It needs to be moist. hehe Well I make my brownies so they are moist.

Great luck you had with the MK bus! The last two times from BWV, we waited 30 minutes for that bus...most recently, it made us late for our BTMRR FP+. But we figured we'd try anyway. I scanned my band and the CM says "you're late, what's the story?" I said "bus ride from he**!!" And she let us go on!!
Your food looks good...do you make a lot of Disney recipes at home?

I haven't seen many reports of dinner at BoG,so that was good to read. I've only done a lunch there, but sounds like dinner has gotten a lot better than the so-so reviews I saw initially. And what a great waitress too!

Dinner at BoG is really good. The first time we went it was not great but not terrible. This time was very much improved. Lunch has always been great for me.

I thought I'd commented here and officially joined in, but I guess not!

Major props to you for working on your departure day - I don't think I could do it! I know if I attempted it I would IN NO WAY be productive!

My logic with working on departure days is weird. I just like to get to Disney as soon as possible, and I like to start my first day there fresh. So to me, arriving in the evening helps me to do that. Normally yes, we're arriving really late, but there are worse things, right? Haha.

I love the Animal Kingdom resorts. How nice that you were able to enjoy some time on your balcony before you left for the Wilderness Lodge!

HOLY COW THAT LINE AT EPCOT! I know I get rather feisty when I get into a huge, never-seeming-to-move line, so I'm impressed you kept your composure as well as you did. (Also, "Stomach? Currently eating itself." )

We were fortunate to stay at the AKL for the PHM trip. It's definitely one of my favorites. The only complaint I ever have about it is location. Other than that, I love it.

But for real, my stomach was getting ready to eat itself!

The food from the F&W booths looks SO GOOD! One of these years I must make it down there for Food and Wine! That savory waffle looks especially delicious.

I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner at Be Our Guest! I loved our meal there in 2013, and I look forward to returning in May. The "cousin of Lumiere" candlesticks were not there during my first visit, so I look forward to seeing him, too!

If I can ever recommend anything to people when they go to WDW, it's to go during the food and wine festival. Especially for adults who like to travel. It's so worth the visit and my favorite time to go.

They didn't have the candlesticks there our first time either! Seems to be a newer thing.

Good luck on the 1/2 marathon, Danielle. I hope you have an awesome time, although with your team of 12 people, how can you not have fun.

I hope they have good weather for the drive down. There is some pretty bad weather between here and Florida.

That dress is really pretty. Your mom did a great job finding that for you. I hope you have another chance to wear it.

Mom and Dad managed to avoid all of the bad weather that was going on thankfully. They left early enough, and then they just kept on going when they found out the potential for a storm the following day in the area they were driving through.

Mom knew I wanted that dress, and the story behind it is actually really funny. I had been thinking about whether or not I was going to buy it because they're pretty expensive. So she told me she wanted to buy it for me. Well she accidentally ordered the wrong one (we think the links on the site were messed up), so she had to re-order to get the right one! I haven't worn it again yet. I had planned on it for the PHM trip, but the weather was too cold when I wanted to wear it!

I love that dress... I have the tank top! The steak at BoG is one of the best my husband has ever had (actually, it was the first time... The second time it was just averagely delicious). He tries to replicate it's charcrustedness (oh yes I did) all the time.

Mmm...grey stuff.

You'll run great. In my (very boring non-Disney) half marathon experience (which has been two times... I don't want you to think I really know what I'm talking about), it goes a lot faster than you think and you run quicker than you knew you could! I generally hit a wall in the last two miles... But it helped to try and look around at the (again, in my (very limited) experience, very boring) landscape to distract me. Just don't THINK about the FINISH LINE because I swear it gets further away. Or the food and/or beer at the finish line. That's worse. You'll do great!!

I love that dress too, one of my absolute favorites.

The steak was good this time. The first time I'd had it, the steak was mediocre, but this time was much better. You're right about the charcrustedness. Soooooo good.

Awww, thanks! The only time I thought about the finish line was around mile 10.5. It hadn't crossed my mind at any point prior during the race, but when I started to melt down after mile 10, it became all too real.

Awesome update!!! I've only been to BOG for lunch, and hope to make it there for dinner one day. It's on my LOOOOOONG bucket list of places to eat at Disney!

And GOOD LUCK this weekend at the PHM! You will do great. Your training has gotten you here, just relax and enjoy every single second. I can't wait to hear all about it!!

Both meals there are good, and the experiences are distinctly different. I highly recommend trying it for dinner at least once.

I love everything stained glass too. That dress is from Black Milk Clothing. It was expensive but seriously sooooo worth it.

Looks delish! The Grey Stuff IS Delicious and Shelley seems like a doll. It's always great to have great servers, they really make a meal.

So excited for you for the Princess 1/2!! As someone who ran her first 1/2 last year and was slightly annoyed by people telling me "oh you'll do great" when I was so nervous and REALLY didn't know how I'd do, I won't patronize. It seems like you've done what you needed to do, so now just have fun! I'm also so glad that you're parents get to root you on and that your dad was cleared for driving. Parent health stuff is so hard, here's to continued good news on that front.

I feel you so much on that! Everyone is like "you'll be fine!" and even though in my heart I knew it, it doesn't make it any less nerve wracking! All of the thoughts about what could happen can get to you. Plus, I find it funny that the people who tell you that, don't run, and can't even fathom what it's like to run 13.1 miles. I feel you.

Yum! BOG is so good! I had the steak last time but still prefer the chicken dish. Of course, my favorite dish, the Cornish Hen, was removed from the menu. What did you guys think of the mac and cheese? Mom and I didn't care for it when we had it in February. Thought it was too bland.

I was very glad to see an update tonight! It looks like a great meal at BOG, you even had some entertainment with the sword fight! I can't wait to get back to that restaurant...we are doing it for the 2nd time this June, but it has been two years since we did it last.

It was a great meal! We always have entertainment at our table, I'm not going to lie.

So good to haven out back. So totally needed my Daniele and family fix.

First off,that dress is awesome. Not being able to feel it for myself, where did Mom get it????

Love the tink pics. Totally looks like pop is going in for a big wet one, though I'm not convinced her didn't. Know that's why mom drew the knife in him ; )

I am really hoping we are able to get a dinner reservation for BOG this time. We were able to the summer right after it opened, but I wasn't able to get one last August. So, we just had a lunch there. Which was fine, except there is no wine or beer at lunch!

Slow is the only way to train really, because it's a race about distance. I think the only way to get there is gradually.

We did have good bus mojo basically this entire trip.

Sometimes they'll let you go on with the FP. Other times they won't. And I experienced that in Animal Kingdom this last trip. And I was irritated.

I have made Disney recipes at home before. I've made marscapone french toast, which I believe is from Disneyland, and also loaded baked potato soup, which is also from Disneyland. I have the cook books.

I'm impressed you were up and at 'em that early after such a late arrival! That's Disney dedication Wow they aren't kidding about the crazy crowds at Epcot during F&W huh? Rough morning, I'm glad you were able to get everything worked out--and more importantly get to the FOOD! (I may or may not have clicked on the link cause it had the word "fork" in it...so it's obvious what my priorities are haha!)

Tinker Bell is such a fun meet! I love that she noticed your dress. The weather was yucky that night--we were sitting in it watching Fantasmic! I do love Be Our Guest. I'd heard it was kind of overhyped but thankfully our first visit definitely met our expectations. Maybe they just needed some time to work out the kinks!
