My flight to Palm Beach airport is only 25% full-should I worry?

In Oct, we are flying on Delta from NY to Palm Beach and then from Orlando back to NY. The flight going to Palm Beach looks to be about 25% full, and it is on an early Tuesday morning. I asked the Cust Svc rep at Delta if I should be concerned about them cancelling my flight, since its wide open, but he said I shouldn't worry this far away from the trip. He says that plenty of people book flights closer to the travel dates, especially to Florida, and by the time we go it will probably be full. Anybody have thoughts on this? We are going in 37 days. Thanks!

I would listen to what the Customer Service Rep. said. And, what is the point of worrying? You cannot do anything about it.

Gail is 100% right.

I know that people really believe flts are cancelled due to light loads, but honestly, they are not. Remember, they need that plane to get to FL bc it is scheduled to become another flt, then another and so on. Back-to-back scheduling of aircraft is why when there's a storm in one region, we end up with so many huge problems with the flts all over the place.

I was on a flt. not too long ago, I think it was an A321 which is a good sized plane - and there were less than 10 people on it. When someone said to the agent (kinda sarcastically) "hey how come you didn't cancel this?", she said "Cuz there are 200 people in Philly waiting for us to take them to San Diego at noon".
