Day 6
So after a brief lay in whilst Jo and Kat went fro breakfast and the rest of us chose to give it a miss. The four of us (minus Kip for now, who was staying behind to make phone calls and stuff about exam results) set off for Epcot We went first to Test Track to fetch a fast-pass and the decided to head onto Mission Space, as there was four of us, so this would be ideal Plus Mission Space is easily one of my fave things to do. The queue was a long one, Id say about 45 minutes The only other really long queue on this trip, after Toy Story Mania. We all enjoyed the experience, although I think going straight in on Orange team, may have been a little too intense for the girls, but fun was had by all.
Following on from some texts, Kip was standing at the exit waiting for us and had already got his fast pass for Test Track to use later with us. After some restroom breaks it was into MouseGear for a good mooch around. MouseGear is one of my fave shops at WDW, so much so that I dont even mind that it always smells faintly of sewage. Although it often smells like that around that area in general, Chris mentioned this is to do with ongoing drainage issues in that area. Moving onto World Showcase we set off for a nice leisurely stroll through World Showcase, turning left as we entered and into Mexico first. Things soon picked up pace though as we entered China and Kat caught sight of Mulan and her character handler. Squealing like little girls, Kathryn and Amy soon got their picture with her. From this point on, it became Princess mania, as in quick succession, we came across Snow White in Germany, Aladdin & Jasmine in Morocco, Belle in France and Aurora in France also.
Now it was time for some debate as we tried to decide where to go for Lunch. We had settled on quick serve, but didnt know where. In the end Jo, Kip and Kathryn wanted to try Yakitori in Japan, but Amy and I decided it smelt like Old Peoples Home so ended up at the Liberty Inn in America having a salad and a bbq pork sandwich.
After lunch we nipped through to the UK, where we popped into The Rose & Crown to see Chris and Kayles in their natural environment as they were both on shift, and obviously we wanted to laugh at their uniform. So after a quick chat we nipped off to leave them to it and into the UK shops so Amy could randomly buy a Kit-Kat which had melted before we even left World Showcase anyway. We decided it was time now to make our exit, but obviously swung by Test Track on the way out as it was now okay to use our fast passes.
Back at ASM we had three hours to spare, so indulged in the usual mix of slumber and showers, with Chris joining in once his shift had finished. When it was time to go, we chose instead to set off across the ASM car park, and get the bus from the All Star Sports bus stops instead, which as we had suspected seemed almost closer than our own bus stops. We were going to DD tonight for dinner at House of Blues, and it turned out upon arrival that we an hour early for our reservation, but we were seated anyway. As with last time, the food here was nothing special but it was nice enough. Matt was joining us late, so we ordered for him and he turned up just as it was being served.
After dinner it was off for a mooch round DD, which I was really happy about as we had yet to really spend any time here this trip. So we were soon hitting up the shops. It was sad though walking through Pleasure Island and seeing how wasted the whole area now seemed.
When we finished mooching the group were going on to DHS to catch the late showing on Fantasmic, but in all honesty I was quite tired so I let them go on without me before having a solo wander round DD and a solo Bus ride home. I was still up when the gang came home, so we all indulged in a journal reading session before tucking up for another nights sleep.
