So our trip is winding down and everyone is tired. Our plan was to go to Animal Kingdom and then go to Epcot at night and watch Illuminations which we have never seen. So we get up and make our way over to Animal Kingdom. I had noticed a day or two earlier that our newly acquired annual passes had an expiration date of Feb '11, which I KNEW wasn't right and DD's pass had a May '11 expiration. What ?? So when we got to AK, we went straight to Guest Services and asked them to change the passes to the correct date. After some time, this was achieved. Word of advice, CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATE ON YOUR ANNUAL PASSES. We sooo could have been screwed if we hadn't gotten this fixed. We got a fast pass to ONE ride for our trouble. The extra fast pass helped speed up our day considerably. We got a fast pass for EE and then headed over to the safari to use our "free" fast pass we got from Guest services. After that, we rode EE
The kids finished up their AK passports at the kidcot stations

We got a fast pass for Kali River rapids and then rode the train up to the petting zoo.
and saw Jimney Cricket
We got some ice cream and rode the train back down and everyone rode Kali River Rapids and got soaked.
after that we headed back to the resort to catch the South Carolina / Alabama game. DN11 fell fast asleep right away which I thought was kinda strange. I thought for sure the boys would be all about some pool time. Anyway, the game was AWESOME !! South Carolina won !! We beat the #1 team !!! DH was super happy. We were all too tired to consider fireworks, so we decided to stay in. DN11 said he had a headache and I gave him some motrin. After an hour or so, I asked if he was feeling better and he said not really. I noticed his face was flushed and immediately dug out the thermometer I was immediately glad I packed. Fever of almost 104. I freaked and called my sister. We conferred on the plan and I kept watch over him the rest of the day and into the night. The fever would go down with motrin, but as soon as it wore off it got back up to 101 o 102 again.
We had planned for Epcot the next day and did stop in, but DN11 was feeling too bad and we decided to just go home. I felt so bad for him. My sister took him to the Dr. the next day and he had a fever for 7 days after that. None of the rest of us got sick and the Dr. said it was a virus since nothing showed up with strep or mono tests. That was one nasty bug !! He's OK now
I hope that everyone has enjoyed the photos. I will post some more when our photopass CD gets here. I wish everyone well and I hope you all have as much fun as we did !!
