Traveling to Disney in February, two adults and two kiddos, 6 & 10. My girls are so excited to go, but they want to do different things, which is driving me crazy! It’s hard enough to plan for one group :) I guess it’s inevitable that my 10 year old would eventually want to do some of the bigger rides. Now my husband and I can arm wrestle to see who gets to go with her, or maybe thumb wrestle, I probably have a better chance in that contest ;) **as I was writing this she decided against RnR, so that takes one thing off the list!**

Trying to work on park plans one at a time, and would love input. I’ve been trying to read everything I can find about Jedi Training, but still confused on how long it takes to sign up (assuming we arrive around 8am for a 9am open) and how long it takes to “do” the training. Kids have to be back 30 minutes prior to their show? Then how long is the show?

Here’s what I have planned so far:

Arrival 8:00

Jedi Training Sign Up (DD1 & Me) 8:45-9:15

(DH & DD2 RD TSMM) (9-9:15)

Tower of Terror (DD1 & Me) 9:20-9:45

(DH & DD2 VotLM FP+) (9:22-9:45)

Ride TSMM FP+ 10:10-10:30

Meet Chewbacca 10:35-10:50 *He may be a longer wait? I just have no clue!

Beauty and the Beast 10:55-11:30 *Is this cutting it too close?

Lunch ABC Commissary 11:40-12:10

Not my first choice but due to dietary restrictions this is what we’ve got!

Star Tours FP+ 12:20-12:40

Jedi Training 12:45-2pm (Realistically I know we porbably need to be there earlier if get a 1pm show, correct? Then I put a max time on it! Hoping it’s not this long! I figure I’ll be moving other times so just a place holder)

Meet Kylo Ren 2:10-2:35

Indiana Jones 3:15-3:45 (Show starts at 3:15, again I know we can’t walk up at 3:15, but this is another “placeholder.” How long do people normally get there for this show?)

Muppetvision 3D 4-4:30

Two hour break allows to add time to anything I underestimated, or if we're under on time, we would go back to the hotel. We have a car so that makes it a little faster to go from the park to hotel & restaurant.

O’Hana’s 6:30 ressie

I can't help with the Jedi Training. I'd search the trip reports for other people's experiences, maybe?
It's good that you know what you want to do and have a schedule to try to stick to. Just try to get a real early start and prepare for occasional log jams. KWIM?
We were able to meet Chewie in less than 20 minute wait this summer. Loved it!
You're gonna have a great time

This looks doable to me.

If you are doing lunch after beauty and the beast, your kind of crossing the park for abc and your not thrilled with it for dietary needs. The collection of quick service locations across from the theater includes a fruit stand that might help you in that area better than abc can. also look at the brown derby lounge to see if that might work out, that place is really great and many overlook it. it's a little pricier than most quick service in the park but it's has a better menu at least in my opinion.

Indiana Jones 3:15-3:45 (Show starts at 3:15, again I know we can’t walk up at 3:15, but this is another “placeholder.” How long do people normally get there for this show?)

This theater is HUGE and it's "outside" without doors, so walking up at 3:15 usually is doable, but you might miss the beginning of the show. You don't want to miss the beginning! If you CAN get there earlier and sit down towards the front, they do ask for audience members to become "actors" in the show. Wear something bright, stand up and make some noise when they ask for these if it's something you might want to do.

as fair as thrill rides I would use rider swap so both of you can ride ( if the CM will let you some times they will not if there is no one too short to ride but you can try anyways)

I think you've got a good outline, but just aren't leaving enough padding time between activities. All of this is assuming things will run perfectly in the shortest amount of possible time with no hiccups. If you just allotted a bit more time in each area, I think it could work. For the shows you'll want to be there at least 15 minutes before they start, if not more depending on crowds.

If I were you, I would move your Chewbacca & Kylo Ren meets until the end of day. That would allow you enough time to do TSMM & the B&TB show, which I don't think your current schedule does. Then do Jedi training, Star Tours, Indy & Muppet Vision all together, before heading to the Launch Bay. This will also greatly reduce the amount of backtracking that you have to do. HS isn't a huge park, but you'll still really feel it late in the day when you're crisscrossing over & over.

I think you are a little bit over scheduled, particularly trying to do a MnG between toy story and BATB. I don't think you will make that. I think overall you need a little more padding in your schedule. You are assuming everything flows perfectly, from experience it won't. Something is going to have a backed up fastpass line or a ride breakdown ect.

That's pretty ambitious, hoping for a low crowd day?

Yes, it's early February and a 3/4 depending on which calendar you look at ;) I know that isn't a guarantee of anything but does make me hopeful crowds will be light.

Thanks! I know it won't go perfectly to plan, but somehow I FEEL better if I have it all planned out. Then if something takes longer we can just look and decide where we want to drop and we'll know what's left on the "want to's" list

This looks doable to me.

Thank you so much! I did overlook the BDL, I'll check it out. I really don't mind paying a little more to have a better experience ;)

Thank you! Awesome tips :) We have never done this show and we definitely don't want to miss anything important, I'll have to move things a little to make sure we get there a little earlier.

My DD2 is ALMOST too short to ride, but she just makes it. It doesn't hurt to try for the rider swap! We've never done one before so I didn't realize it might be possible if the other kid is tall enough and just scared.

Chewbacca and Kylo Ren are in the same place, that's probably a better idea to do them together at the end! And yes, there should be more padding! First park planning trouble ;)

Maybe add a bathroom break or two, lol!!

It's great to have an outline of your day, but remember to be flexible and take time to enjoy your vacation!!

:) :) :) Potty breaks! You are so right!! Even I can't go all day, let alone my girls. I like to schedule, and then I promise I won't be the vacation troll. If things change I can go with it (somewhat ;))
