I have gotten complacent about getting exclusive content or reservations. I know that’s because:
- I travel solo or with just one other person making bookings easier
- I do my research and am tech savvy
- I put in the time/effort to get in early, try often, and for a long time if required.

However, this morning I experienced my first true shutout of something I wanted to see. I will now have to wait until my next trip.

I don’t like it. LOL 😝

Remy’s ride went from ‘you are too early’ to ‘we are sold out’ in the 30 seconds between my refreshes after 6:59am to 7:00am. I’ll try at 1pm but am not optimistic.

Epcot is my favourite park and I still expect to have a great day. For those riding Remy… Enjoy and have fun!!!

8 seconds and they were gone. Here’s hoping for 1:00!

Virtual Queues are such a mistake on Disney's part. People are paying a lot of money to get here. For some, it's once in a life time. If they want to wait in an hours long line up for a ride, let them wait. A lottery is ridiculous from a customer service standpoint.

100% correct. It worked for every other ride they’ve ever done fine, why change it now?

There’s not room there for the line they would need.l on opening weekend. Hype will die down shortly and they’ll remove the BG.

I have mixed feeling about both VQ and that ride itself. I'll be there in December and am not sure I'll even try to ride it. I had pretty good luck with VQ on RoTR, if I wasn't able to get it in the morning I was able to get it at 1. I'm just not sure I care enough about this ride to get up early and try for it so if I do, it will be at 1. I don't mind standing in line, we rarely even used FP when it was around so if VQ is gone, I might stand in line for it. I'm 100% not paying for it when Genie + comes into play. 100% not paying the extra for any of the E ticket ones, I might pay the $15 a day for a couple of days, depends on how it looks like the standbys lines are going.

From reports yesterday it sounds like they don’t drop enough inventory at 7am so sells out fast but readily available at 1pm. Part of me hopes they will fine tune the reservations for 7am but then no one would pay the ias so i assume this will continue as norm and strategy will be to do 1pm not 7am drop.

We got a BG but spent almost an hour waiting to ride because it went down right as you are about to go on the ride🤦‍♀️ Needless to say we waited. It was cute. We’ll go again on Tuesday.

I rode it twice at my AP preview last Tuesday because I have no luck when it comes to virtual queues and boarding groups. Either I don’t get a group at all, or I get one and the ride breaks down right as it’s my turn. I still haven’t been able to ride ROTR and I am not about to pay for it, only to have it break down when I reach the boarding area (which has happened . . . 😭 )

Got one at 1:00 and it said return in 6 hours.

Two hours later it still said return in 6 hours.

Luckily I had a friend who was able to talk to guest relations and link my pass with hers which was earlier. She was about 60 spots in front of my and we didn’t get on till 5:00, so I definitely wasn’t getting on if I didn’t do that.

Overall… I absolutely loved the attraction. I would do it every day. Definitely in my top 5 on property.

They literally just cloned a ride that's been operating just fine for 9 years, how in the world is it going down already? ROTR ok, it was new technology and a lot of moving parts (pun sort-of intended?), but this should be the most reliable new ride in the park because it's existed for so long already!

If I hop to EPCOT at 2:00 can I get a boarding group for Remy if they are still available even though I did not originally have a park reservation?

No cliffhangers allowed! :rotfl2: Did you get it at the 1pm drop?

I did not get to ride Remy. At precisely 1:00pm and 1 second, I was given Back Up Group 180. According to my app, they only reached main Group 130… let alone back up 180.

Looks like I’ll have to come back… awww 😊

I was able to console myself with an evening dinner at Space 220. A reservation I did nab upon release for the reasons on my original post. So, no complaining about Disney here just because I missed a high demand ride. Win some, lose some.

We didn’t get to ride either. So frustrating!! The cell reception in the park at 1pm was horrible. And although we had WiFi shut off it was also non existent. We did get boarding group 181 and the last group called at 10pm was boarding group 178. So close!! We even walked to Remy at 9:45pm and tried to convince the CM at Remy to let us ride but no luck. I know the ride had some issues and was shut down for a bit which I think is the only
reason we didn’t get to ride. Guess it gives us another reason to come back sooner than planned.
