My first PTR --- WDW in May with my Prince! <3

Hello All!

I'm new to the boards and this is my first ever Pre-Trip Report. I must say that I don't really know how to do one, but considering that I want this trip cemented well and truly into my head, I'd like to have some place to concretize the planning. So here I am!

First things first, here's a bit of a background story. Let's first meet the cast:

The Lady:

Also known as me. [I'm mostly camera-shy, so forgive me for looking awkward on film.] So anyway, this is me, having a bad hair day. I'm Jas, 22 years old and will be graduating from university / college in July.

I'm a Disney girl, born and bred. I have been exposed to the magical world of Disney from day 1. My parents, especially my dad, are BIG Disney fans too. I'm kinda a rarity though, considering that I'm from an Asian country. Most kids my age then were brought up on Japanese anime and stuff, but no, not me. I spent the happiest days of my childhood with Mickey and gang, and Snow-White was my first animated movie EVER. I've watched almost every Disney animation and I adore the Disney classics. Heck, I even share a name with a Disney princess [Jasmine]!

So anyway. I had my very first trip to Disneyland, California when I was 12 years old. Ever since then, I've been to Disneyland, Cali 3 times, Tokyo Disneyland & Sea 3 times and this upcoming trip to WDW will be my third. I remember going to WDW for the first time and I was like, oh this should be what Heaven is. I loved every moment of every trip, but there was just one puzzle piece missing.

You see, I was a die-hard Disney romantic, and no happy story should exclude a prince. I remember a Disney moment where I was watching the fireworks, and there was sublimal music playing and I vowed there and then that one day, I would return to the happiest place on earth with my one true love.

And in March, 2007, I met him.



My Prince Charming:

Here's my Df [Joe]. He's even MORE camera-shy than I am, which is why I only have snapshots of him from the most elusive of angles. He's 22 years old [2 months older than I am!] and is from the same university as I am. But we're majoring in profoundly different things. He's from computer science and I'm from English Literature, so go figure.

He has almost zero Disney background, although given that he's fallen in love with a Disney nut, I'm sure that will come to pass soon. He's been to Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea with me once in 2008. This trip to WDW will be his first and I know that he is just going to be so amazed.


So here we are, the lovely [i hope!] couple.

We met under the most unique of circumstances; it was kinda mundane, I guess, it was just another of those birthday parties of a mutual friend. The twist is that I was supposed to act as the matchmaker of him and my other girlfriend. According to him, he started liking me from the moment he saw me at the party. That was on 12th Jan 2007. We got each other's msn contacts and started talking online on 12th Feb. And one month later, on 12th March, he asked me to be his girlfriend.

Fast forward it to 12th March 2009, he finally popped the question:

"Will you marry me?"

and of course, I said "yes".

so we're off to WDW! This trip will kinda be like a grad trip + engagement trip mashed into one, so I'm like, hooray! But before I go on, here are some little piccys of our little ones.

and also, bubblee, angel and zippy's daughter. I don't have a good picture of her yet, since she's still so young.

None of them will be going along. LOL. And they're not very pleased about it. So I thought the least they could have was some moments of fame on my PTR. *chuckles*

I'll just end off this introductory post with some pictures that we took on our trip to Tokyo Disneyland & Sea.

We didn't manage to meet any characters; we only had 3 days, so time was kinda tight for us. Hopefully we'll have better luck this trip, considering that we've got a whooping 10 days Disney pass!
