My First PTR...aka, I Have No Idea What I'm Doing! *Jan '17*

I realized there is pretty much never a wait for Pixar/Fest, so I swapped my FP+ for Living with the Land. I have actually never waited more than 5 minutes for it, but noticed the past two Sundays there were wait times around 30-45 minutes when we would most likely be hitting it. So might as well, right?

I am super frustrated with Epcot's FP+ restrictions. I feel like it must be because they know they have just a few big-draw rides and all the rest are less popular or accommodate so many people that the lines aren't much of an issue. It just doesn't really feel fair to say you can't FP+ Test Track and Soarin in the same booking. Even if they only allowed 2 of 3 high traffic attractions to be booked I would be happier. One is just the pits. I have had good luck with short waits at epcot at night before though, so maybe we'll do okay.

Two more sleeps until Disney!! I am so excited. So to prepare, I got my nails done!

Uh oh!!

The weather for today is showing thunderstorms, possibly heavy ones, this evening. The rain starts in the afternoon and by 8pm is basically 100% chance.

I have Epcot fastpasses booked for today starting at 3pm and ending at 730. It's our only chance to do Frozen without being in standby.

Will they close parks if it's really bad? I saw tornado watches for northern Florida just now on the plane tv. Of course since the rest of the week looked good we didn't bring rain gear. Can we just buy ponchos and make it work?!

You'll probably be fine. Just grab some ponchos and you should be ok. I would keep an eye on things, but I think northern Florida is the main problem area.

Sometimes, it rains in one park and not another, or even if one PART of a park, but not on the other side. I would just have a weather app handy and check it periodically.
Good luck! I hope the rain doesn't interrupt your plans too much!! At least at Epcot there are a lot of places you can go inside to get out of the weather!

I've been thinking about you today...I hope you are staying safe and not having much trouble with the weather!!

Hey, thanks! The thunderstorm went on into the night last night and the lightning made for quite a display but no crazy tornado style weather. Unfortunately my sneakers didn't dry out overnight and we didn't have time for a dryer cycle this morning so I had to do AK in flip flops but it's really pleasant out and we are having a great time! what's vacation without a few crazy parts?
