I am hoping to make it to my first pin meet on Sat. I don't have a pin book (yet ) so I am looking for suggestions on hoe best to take my tiny collection with me.

I probably won't do any trading but am still looking foward to it :D

Yeah, that's what they all say. :D You'll get there, you'll see a pin you want, you'll start working on a trade, and then after you trade you REALLY will be hooked!

Someone posted on here that the Disney Stores have lanyards now. You could get a couple of them to put your pins on. Once at the meet, check out any homemade pin books people have and get some ideas.

Most important -- HAVE FUN!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

HAVE FUN!

as for how to 'travel' , this is what I did for DS.
Took an old photo album and placed 8x12 felt squares over the pages photos would normally go in. Then pushed the pins thru thru the felt and photo page; pins hold the felt on. I then made sure I have at least one photo page between the back and front of each pin page. I put an extra felt square on top of each pin page, just to protect the face of the pins. It is not necessarily beautiful, but it works for now, is inexpensive, and the felt has staying power!

What Lynnie describes is similiar to what my mom did. You could also consider getting a card trading notebook (has pages with small sleeves to fit baseball or other cards). Put the pins on a piece of cardboard (or the black velvet cards) and simply slide them into each sleeve. You might have to put a small piece of tape over the opening to hold them in, depends on the pin.

Hey Ashley, COOL idea! I was just at Office Max and you can get a pack of 10 sleeves (holds 9 cards each) for about $2.50!

I like all the above suggestions and add if you have a cd carry case with cloth or similar type pages you can use that. My son used one for his "first collection". It actually worked out quite well and was very portable.
